hopefully no one will stand in the doorway and keep everyone else stuck in null space screaming "bobba" over and over...

  2. Shenmue III on 10 Next-Generation Franchise Comebacks · · Score: 1

As far as Shenmue III is concerned, look no further.

It's complete and ready for a system.

jeremy parish is by far my favorite game journalist/blogger, web or otherwise. when i was younger, seanbaby was it, but maturity and irony have forced my preferences in another direction (even though i can still appreciate a good lambasting in the end of good ol' egm)

Secret of Monkey Island... one of the pirates in the Scumm Bar had a pin on that read "Ask me about LOOM" and would launch into a huge sales pitch for the game if you inquired about it. Pretty funny and smart.

  5. There Article on New Games Journalism: Ten Unmissable Articles · · Score: 1

The point(s) brought up in Possessing Barbie, as far as There goes, are pretty obvious and not too interestingly written either. It seems to me that the fact that this subject matter is being written in a narrative format is the only reason that it's being deamed fresh and/or "unmissable."

A much better article on There is available here, though it has been featured on Slashdot in the past.

    soooo.... it's majestic?

i guess it probably would work better as a "free" ad, rather than something people would be willing to pay to play...

seems to be a severe lack of RPGs. hopefully squenix has the sense to bring over FFIII.

  9. Re:Definitive versions on The Evolution of Mario · · Score: 2, Informative

I believe he's refering to the sprites in the games as "representing" Mario more accurately than the originals, not the games themselves.

However, I agree with you that he is still wrong.

  10. Mario Clash on The Evolution of Mario · · Score: 2, Interesting

There seems to be absolutely no mention of Mario Clash or Mario Tennis for the Virtual Boy. While Tennis falls under the realm of the cameo (I guess), Mario Clash is a stand alone Mario game with an interesting remake take on the old Mario Bros. games.

I've found that a lot of girls really like the communication and character outfitting aspects of Phantasy Star Online. Back in the days of the Dreamcast, my sister would lord over my copy for hours on end.

Whether they prefer typing (GCN) or voice (XB) communication is pretty much the only difference in the versions.

this was before playing video games was "cool"

That's funny, since the Genesis was one of the first systems that the "cool" people could own, and not feel geeky about, because of it's fantastic conversions of the [then] most popular arcade fighting games and of course the best versions of the EA sports titles.

  19. Setting Precedent... on Hong Kong Politician Bejeweled, Unrepentant · · Score: 2, Interesting

real folk colin: is it really a game anymore?
    moped cowboy: lol
real folk colin: simulation "games" are so awful... they're simulators, and simulators are not games
