So withdraw already! I have zero urge to play any games on the Nintendo systems. Frankly, I think their games have gotten somewhat fruity (as in weak stories and characters) and thus hurting the game play value so, so much. The last game I enjoyed was Mario Cart.
PS2 seems to have just better designed games and do not seemed to be focused just at kids 3-10 y/o.
You know some of my buddies still make fun of me at LANs for playing CS. But online, there are a ton of people and I'm still in a CS clan (www.clan-mr.com). Even so, NS and DoD and the like are always trying to overhaul the #1 spot and yet CS maintains. The clan always talks about the newest game and how that will replace CS in our clan, and in the 3.5 years I've played, nothing has over thrown it. The graphics maybe a bit older and the net code may not be the newest, but it is one helluva fun game to play.
Or at the very least a MLT: mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich where the mutton is nice and lean, and the tomato is ripe....they're so perky. I love that.
Sure, your first pressing of every official Beatles release is worth something, assuming you've never taking them out of the pacakge. Considering you weren't born when they were together, it's likely that the records have been played many, many times.
...but what does this have to do with News for Nerds? I have my own opinions on gun control, etc., but this is hardly the site I go to for this type of news. Seriously. It's not even remotely geek related.
Many of our computer labs at school upgraded this year to new Dells [csus.edu]. Man they are nice: Cd burners, large HDs, plenty of RAM, etc. There are just a couple labs left with Apple (in the graphic design dept). Aside from that, Apples don't have any real use.
Sounds like a slick way of talking about 'net pr0n. I mean, come on with all this new-age jargon of how the 'net is a natural thing, "Just like you and me, baby." =]
Great, now I can pick and choose my good triats (I have those, right?) and sell them on EbaY! So long as can get past the copywrite burn protection, that is. Oh wait, I have a felt tip marker here. =]
No! I will hold onto my old, substandard techologies. Someday, my mp3's will be the Atari of today. How can you take that away from us, with decent products? Uncle M$ is going to be upset. =]
Believe it or not, many of my friends and I still play Quake 1, Doom 1 and the like. You don't need a whole lot to push those games. Even Counter-Strike runs nice and smoothly - in fact that's the card I use in matches and tournaments. Granted, if I am going to play anything that is real new (read: majorly graphically enhanced) then I'd need a new card. But again, it all comes down to what you plan to do with it...
I have a Radeon 64 MB card and I have had no problems with it. In another box, I have a Voodoo3 3000 and it still runs Counter-Strike and Quake 3 just fine. It all depends on what you want to do with it.
After all, WindowsXP's product activation scheme was blown out of the water before WinXP was ever relased. WindowsXP Service Pack 1 was supposed to put those restrictions back in place, but was defeated almost instantly.
Well that and it seemed that many people immediately had a copy of the 'corporate' edition, thus bypassing the hardware registration et al. I don't know.. either way seems they are pushing to merge all the major corporations & networks. Maybe in a few years they'll change from Microsoft to Omnimegahyperglobalnet.

Something like "Compuglobalhypermeganet" would do well.
Nope, that name is owned by Homer J. Simpson. Bill Gates tried to buy him out, but instead only trashed his "office."
Yeah but then you'd have to invite ASP, and really, who would want to do that? =]

I bet they'll find a way to screw up the inclusion of Java thereby making it necessary for you to d/l a service pack to fix it bi-weekly.
"getting"?

Sorry for the ugly URL.
Coolest toy ever. Ever.
Holy muther of gawd, that's hilarous. Thank you so much, you made my day! Off to class....
Great, now I can pirate music and shows TWICE as fast and with only minimal packet loss!!

Do you foresee Silicon Valley as the continuing center of tech jobs, or has its reign of the markets long since been gone and will never return?

"Personally, I think this is great..."
The technology, not the drilling...
....cried. Personally, I think this is great, but I know some who wouldn't like this.

By "nice car" you mean a SUV? *ahem*
Just sell your idea to M$ and live off the interest. That is, of course, if your idea is worthy of Billy G.
