    Memory usage i found was better when i compared Foobar2000 with Winamp 5 Lite with about 6 hours in the play list.

    Foobar = 6.0mb

    Winamp = 8.6mb

    I'm also a fan of the look of Fubar verses winamp. I find it looks much cleaner/simpler. If you want it to look a special way, then obviously winamp is the better choice because of skinning. If you are running a LOW CPU and MEMORY environment then Foobar might be worth while looking at. I also like replaygain (normalisation) that comes with foobar.

    The problem is that people do stupid shit with their computers (that they don't know is stupid shit), and then IT professionals have to fix it (for free, every time, because they're on contract). If IT services were contracted out and cost $50/hr, you can bet people would start being more careful about downloading shit onto their computer after a few hundred dollars.
    Yeah, tell me about it. People do crazy stuff. I find some people who will just blindly click the OK button, no questions asked.

    I started an experiment a while ago. I started charging more for problem clients who just never seem to learn just to see if the money would eventually get through their thick skulls. Well, eventually the money got to them. But this only made it worse. They just waited longer before calling to fix things. Now the machines are hosed to the point of not even booting and they still expect me to just magically fix it quick like. This got tiring really quick. I solved this problem by just stopping in every other week and doing a little preventative maintenance.

    Some people just shouldn't be allowed to have a computer attached to the internet. But until there is some sort of governing body that tests and polices who can and can not use computers we will just have to suck it up and get the job at hand done.

    If you rely on the Liveupdate feature in Norton you will see that it is only updated once a week or so, but if you manually apply the patches then its much more frequent. Some of the Netsky variants are scheduled for a March 10 update (WTF?)

    I can imagine quite a few home users or smaller business doing just that. And of course skipping over and not detecting the newest of the virus variants.

    Umm, no, actually its not. The Media Levy allows you to make copies onto the media the the levy has been paid upon. The law in your instance is kinda grey. The levy allows you to make personal use copies from borrowed original media not copies from the internet.

    Sorry, you're wrong. Copyright law is very clear, I suggest you read up on it.

    For example, it is perfectly legal to borrow a CD from a friend, copy it for your own personal use, and then return the CD. However, it is not legal for your friend to copy their CD and then give you the copy.Sorry, you're wrong. Copyright law is very clear, I suggest you read up on it.

    This is also totaly dependant what country you live in. This example is fair if you live in Canada where Canadains pay a Tax on blank media. In the USA they don't, so copying borrowed content from a friend is all together different.

    I might also point out, just about every one of those routers worked fine on my Interbaun account (Yes, I'm in Alberta)

    It may just be the possibility how friendly the ISP is to router/nat. But at the same time, not all NAT's are created equal. It's quite possibe that some/most home router/nats are complete garbage.
