    FWIW, when moderating, I find that "Overrated" against something moderated "Interesting" that doesn't deserve it works just fine.

    And agreed "I don't carry a smartphone" and "I have never owned a TV" are some of the most useless, narcissistic sorts of posts here. Like "Really? you think I give a single flying fuck that you're a proud Luddite?     Except that I have no interest in the Samsung walled garden. Bixby is garbage, and the main reason why "Tizen watches use less battery" is that you can't drain your battery if you have no useful apps.

    I'm looking forward to new Wear hardware later this year. I stopped buying ALL Samsung hardware because they keep pushing that Tizen garbage, and all their special samsung services too. I already have Google. I don't need Samsung's "Me too" crap.

    Don't get me wrong. I use Linux for serious work. I worked for Canonical for several years a while ago.

    I do not expect any serious game publisher making AAA games to consider NATIVE Linux development to be even a "nice-to-have"

    I'm just being realistic.

    My entertainment involves games. usually on my high-end windows gaming rig. I'm unlikely to use this facility that Steam has provided because I don't run Linux on my high-end gaming box. There will always be a performance hit, and I'm not interested in dealing with that.

    That's why I have more than one computer.

    In South Florida, the taxi drivers are on the phone ALL THE FUCKING TIME.

    I don't know what fantasy planet you come from where Taxi drivers are some kind of fucking paragon of service and safety. Services like Uber came to be because TAXI DRIVERS ARE SCUM.They cheat, they do everything they can to maximize the cost of the ride. They pretend their card readers are busted because they want to be paid on cash.

    The worst uber/lyft drivers are TAXI drivers looking for extra money.

  21. So buy a 1080. The price isn't going to go down because at this point, Nvidia has no reason to produce any more of them. If you find a retailer that wants to clearance them, great. This is the way it has ALWAYS been for graphic card releases. You can likely find a new 2070 or 2060 when they come out for less than a 1080. Yea they might have features you don't consider important, but that's what Nvidia is making now.

  24. For me, Fallout VR and Skyrim VR are killer apps. I also like a lot of the smaller indie games for VR.

    I live alone. I don't give a flying fuck how weird the helmet looks. I care that it entertains me, and it does.

    Looking forward to adding a even more powerful Nvidia card to my rig. FSM knows AMD isn't up to the task

  25. Doubtful. I have no reason to buy AMD kit until it can surpass the Nvidia stuff I already have. AND work with the games I want to use it with without any SINGLE bit of me having to do something special.

    They'll never get there.
