    That's fine. Compared to my Nvidia 1080 they're useless for gaming, so I wouldn't consider a Vega.

    The last car I owned (I'm car free now) was a Camaro with On-Star. I didn't have a subscription after the free one ran out, and I learned how to disable the module by disconnecting the antenna once I found out that they were tracking equipped cars that weren't subscribing.

    I'm not paranoid about home assistants, but I'll be damned if I was going to let someone override my control of my car.

    Then those industries need disruption.

    Jailing the heads is the only way to FORCE change. Real consequences for these largely useless rich fucks at the top won't damage the actual industry nearly as much as they want you to think.

    If one manufacturer's product works for a given enthusiast's application without issue, and the other does not, that points to the manufacturer, NOT the "idiot complaining."

    ATI^K^K^KAMD's problem has been drivers and continued support. They have improved, but I still haven't forgiven them for abandoning a brand new ( and very expensive at the time) card I had just bought when WIndows... 98, was it? moved to the WDM model, and they refused to support it. I wasn't going to stay on the previous version of windows.

    I have not bought a single product of theirs since.

    If it's reputed not to work with a game I want to play, I'm not going to bitch at the game's developers, I'm going to by the product that just fucking works.

    I don't give a shit about defending AMD's honor. They're a publically traded company and therefore just as evil as Nvidia.

    Other than my signature, I have never used cursive to write a check. I haven't used cursive for anything at all since I got out of public school and was no longer required to use it.

    I hand write so seldom that it's a miracle my hand printed writing is the slightest bit legible. My signature at best is consistent and unique, I would not call it legible.

    Federal Regulations come about when corporations prove themselves unable to be trusted.

    I would prefer the States handle this but the telcoms have already made a lot of noise about suing in Federal court to prevent regulation by the states.

    They cannot be trusted to regulate themselves. As long as Trump/Verizon's Toadie is in charge of the FCC, they're useless. Legislative capture. The fox in charge of the henhouse. Should be a treasonable act to set things up so.

    Nobody is going to come to my blog to announce local events. Many local orgs don't even have web pages anymore. They announce events from their FB accounts.

    As to newspapers, you're kidding, right? I haven't picked one up since Dec 31, 1999. And events, where I live, can change, based on weather, etc. Online you'll find out about it. With the newspaper, you MIGHT find out about it the next day.

    I might only LIVE another 15-30 years. I wouldn't own property in this state, eventually, it'll be underwater in SoFL. I had a house. I bought at the wrong time, and I had to walk away from it or be stuck in a podunk center of unemployment.

    I'd rather be free to go elsewhere when the mood strikes me. At this point I'll never have a family, so why not enjoy what I do have?
