Now, while I wouldn't use CD-RW to do that (I am lazy and would just watch on the computer unless it was an ACTUAL movie I was watching), the medium has nothing to do with the quality of the original copy/mpeg. Yes, if too much compression is ued for the sake of space, the quality of the image (and sound as it is what takes up the most space) will be sacrificed to fit "more" onto one disc. I have found that 45 minutes per CD-R gives me a High quality image, and while it is only 45 minutes, that is just enough to remove the commercials from the captured file.

America as a nation needs to stop playing "Police" for the world and take a look at our OWN economy. Sure, the guy says "Anything you can build" but we WOULD NOT have to pay other workers for that priviledge. We as a nation need to realize that there is only SO Much Crap we can BUY.

We need to go back to a more industrialized nation. It was INDUSTRY that lifted us out of the Depression. Industry, the ability to make the products, to hire the workers, to rebuild OUR economy, needs to start HERE. Not elsewhere. We can make it cheaper to build here, and the reason we HAVEN'T is because Corporations DON'T want to spend the money needed. Why should they when they can sell us the same product made elsewhere for the same price....and half the cost for them to manufacture?

This would lead you to believe "Well, just replace the card" and while this is my first suggestion, I can't do that due to the Motherboard/Video Card combination they used was specific to this case, and specific to Gateway.
