    I have owned 3 GM cars, and one of those was a Saturn. Trust me, going from a Saturn to another GM isn't "trading up".

    It is obviously your choice, but if you think about, why would you have a cell phone at all? If its there for your own convenience, and all of your friends phones are for their convenience, and you don't expect them to answer when you call. The only reason you would have for a cell phone is to call businesses.

    To a large extent, I agree with the above poster. My cellphone is for MY convienience, not their's. If someone wants to call me, I'll get back to them whenever it's convienient for me, but it's unlikely that they'll get an immediate response from me. And, yes, I understand that my friends might not get back to me immediately either.

    The only reason XP is "lean" is because it had to "sorta run" on the machines in 2001. I'm fairly sure that the machines in 2014 will run Vista like lightning. But they'll still choke on IE10. :p

    Exactly!!! The SSN is ID! It's not a bleeping password! I shouldn't have to care if the whole world knows that my SSN is xxx-xx-xxxx. But I do because of idiots using it as a password.

    The problems is when they provide picnics, luncheons, gift cards, on-line game tournaments...AND treat their employees like replacable grunts. And they wonder why their "incentives" aren't making their people happy.

    Obviously Psystar is going to make sure they choose hardware that everything Just Works on. And so will other manufacturers who sell boxes designed for OS X.

    Just like Dell, Gateway, HP, etc do for Windows? Including Vista?

    "Upgrade" vs "full" is a licensing issue, nothing more.

    From my POV, the difference is, if I accidently erase the OS on my Mac, I can reinstall from my Leopard disks. If I erase the OS on my PC, I can't reinstall Vista because it's an "upgrade" disk and I no longer have a valid OS to upgrade from.

    Why do so many people think that nature is peaceful?

    For most people, "nature" means that beautiful park where they had that nice picnic last week. A more accurate example of nature is 5 hyenas ripping a lion apart. Probably not a good place for a picnic.

    I'm sure DOS 5.0 was faster on ye olde 8088 than Vista is on a Dual Core.

    Quite the opposite. Windows makes rebooting so simple that often the user doesn't even have to click anything. :)

    Shortly after Vista came out, my GF's sister was going to get a Vista craptop with 512M RAM. Luckily, she asked my opinion first, and I gave her my opinion on Vista on such an underpowered box, and my opinion on what should be done to vendors who loaded Vista on such a craptop.

    There's a difference between truly changing your position based on new information, and lying about your position because of voter polls. I think most "flip-floppers" are doing the later. They know what they want, but will gladly lie about it if it will get them into office.
