I really wish you people would stop with the "She's immune! She has an apple! She can't run IBM software!" crap... There are emulators for the mac that will let her run Windows.
Geez...
(Now.. I'm not saying that she was.. I'm just tired of all the excuses you mac idiots keep spouting to make yourselv's sound high-n-mighty above us IBM'ers...)
You've never been to backslashdot.org? Man.. It's EXACTLY like slashdot.org, except there are no dups, no MS adverts, no snide/sarcastic/completely stupid comments added to the articles by the editors!
Oh, and it's FREE! Yes... I thought every slashdot'er knew about it!
Do you watch TechTV? They advertise there quite abit. Your TechTV will be the same TechTV I get on DishNetwork. I don't have any idea if they advertise anywhere else...
That isn't fully true. The virus also exploits unpatched versions of Outlook Express so it can spread itself. See this page for information. It's pretty close to the top of the page.
I've had about 4 or 5 copies come in to my computer today (I use MozillaThunderbird). All together, I've received about 3 that look like failure notices from a qmail server and probably a dozen that look like that stupid fake MS security patch.
1) I did *very* well in every English class I've ever taken. My placement test scores were off the charts when I had to re-take said placement tests when I switched High School's. I think the word "half" was just fine in that sentence, thank-you-very-much.
2) What are you smoking? There are many "Once you've had (insert object here), you'll never go back" sayings - the same sayings I hinted at in my post. Many of them are subjective, and hence, wrong.
3) I have no idea what the hell your talking about here...
4) I still think your on something.. Since you seem to need the help, I was saying that I had Gentoo installed (the base, no X/KDE/Gnome/whatever) but beyond that, it sits on the table, unused.
I think you need some professional help. Seriously.
...and Macs are like a Trojan Horse to Microsoft. Once you go Mac, you never go back.
I just half to laugh every time I see this... and not just about macs. I have a MAC here in the store. Know what it's doing? Right now it's sitting on a folding table in a now unused room. Yea, it's plugged into the wall (for power, that is), but no, it's not on. I was in the process of putting Gentoo on it before we got too busy. I figured that if we are going to have the silly thing around, the LEAST it could do is be a samba server with a nice large HDD. Just haven't had the time to finish what I started with it.
Sprint disputes AT&T's account, saying the dropped calls were a "translation error" due in part to AT&T's desire to hide what it was doing. Either way, Sprint maintains that the calls should be subject to traditional access fees. According to Sprint's FCC filing, access fees make up between one-third and one-half of incumbents' revenue stream. "Rob Malda's failure to gain access to gay men and charges on this traffic places [local-carrier] revenue at extreme risk [and] could exacerbate cost imbalances among [long-distance] competitors," the filing warns.
The parent post needs to be modded down. Read in there carefully. It was un-neccessary, and I highly doubt it was in the origional article. Not that it was any better to quote it, but how else will people see it?
And just what is wrong with that? Just because this is/., and just because it's full of guys, doesn't mean that every one of us are interested in the opposite sex...
What is the community to do if they steal it and start selling it stateside?
Turn them over to SCO. I'm sure that they will believe that these horrible people are stealing their IP and will want to sue them when they are finished with IBM and all of us Linux users!
As you will notice, the heatsink fans used are CoolerMaster all copper heatsinks with fans that adjust depending on processor temperature. The setup runs at a very cool 35c and at this temperature the fans are very quite, not once during our testing did the fans speed up to a level of noise which we found annoying.
The fans are quite WHAT? Large? Noisy? Mushy?
Just because you have a spell checker doesn't mean you need to leave out proofreading!
It's not just on web sites that I see this. My friends have PURCHASED several RPG books from various companies (Mainly, RIFTS and D&D 3 and 3.5) and those books are FILLED with spelling mistakes and simply incorrect words (as seen above).
I'll pardon your mindless ranting for a few moments.
I highly doubt that cell phone companies make the accessories different just to make you pay more money. I think the reason is simple. They design them to be non-compatible with other branded phones so that you must keep your money with them and not go to brand X to get something for your brand Y phone.
As has been mentioned in many places in this story, many parts are the same from phone to phone (ear pieces - I've been able to use my 2.5mm earpiece on all of my Nokia phones. ALL of them. My 3586i came with one, which isn't any big deal, as it still has a 2.5mm on it's side as well.
I think what I'm tryng to say is GET YOUR PANTIES OUT OF YOUR ASS and calm the hell down. Despite what you think, the world isn't coming to an and, they aren't coming to get you, etc.
I've had a Nokia 5160, 5185i, 3360, and now I have a 3586i. All four phones use the same home charger and the same car charger. Hell, the two 51xx phones even use the same external car antenna and batteries!
I think your on crack, or trolling for mod points. If I didn't have a comment that so completely proved your statement wrong, I'd use my last remaining mod point to mod your ass back down.
Just like a fly, it didn't last very long -- Thanks to all those who mirrored some of the images! =]
What happens when you can't plug these things into our PCs anymore? Will we see the return of the I/O card?
What do you mean "The return of" the I/O card? We still sell them (in a PCI version) all the time.
No matter if your using laptops or PC's, SIIG still makes quite a few cards with 'legacy' ports; Including serial controlers...
Bunch of babies... Can't look nothin' up for yourselv's? =]
I really wish you people would stop with the "She's immune! She has an apple! She can't run IBM software!" crap... There are emulators for the mac that will let her run Windows.

Before you can get moderated, you need to learn how to spell Insightful, moron...
Do you watch TechTV? They advertise there quite abit. Your TechTV will be the same TechTV I get on DishNetwork. I don't have any idea if they advertise anywhere else...
What was your email address again? I've got about half a dozen of these messages sitting in my trash box right now that I can send you.. =]
This goes for all the other "redundant" posts of the same nature.. Just send me your addresses and I'll take good care of 'ya.. =]
Don't want you to feel left out, you know.. =]

We are a bind shop, But I know othesr that run
Was that a "Slashdot Efect" that was spoken of earlier?
=]
Whaddya mean, "pretty soon"? People are already removing Windows in droves!
If you keep telling yourself that, it might come true!
(As I type this from a Gentoo box inside of Mozilla-Firebird)
HYPOCRITE
Plain and simple. And don't try to throw words into my mouth. You said, and I quote:
"Needless to say, I won't consider use of an advertising-supported product."
Buh-bye now. Don't let the door hit you in your ass.
What are the mirrors for? OH! THAT'S RIGHT! TO CUT COSTS! Well, Mandrake, and indeed myself, must have forgot about that!
Shesh!
Bittorrent isn't the end-all-be-all. Shesh!
Needless to say, I won't consider use of an advertising-supported product.
I've seen lots of these responses. I have one word (after all of these, of course.) for you.
Hypocrite
You just posted on an advertising-supported product. I'll thank you to take your leave now, assuming you aren't a hypocrite.

Your wallet must get very heavy. You also must have a very strong belt, or use both a belt and other means to hold your pants up..
I'd hate for my notes to weigh that much..

What is this world coming to?!
Show me some usage stats on how much P2P traffic isn't copyright infringing.
Try having a complete thought. You have two different thoughts there, mushed together.
It's people who write in this fassion that make me go home at night and drink myself stupid.
If you sat and thought out what you were trying to say instead of typing crap and hoping for some quick mod points, you might actually get them...
I'll pardon your mindless ranting for a few moments.

5% may sound like a small amount, but considering HOW MANY Windows boxes exist on EARTH, that is a HUGE number...
One word for you (after these, of course):
EBAY.
Thanks. Have a nice day.
