My perception is that this is symmetrical, both sides are treating each other like shit, because we are part of a system where betrayal and selfishness are considered a virtue.

You said "resist the tempation to turn this into a race. I ask you, if we can't expect ministers to resist this temptation for something as terrible as nuclear weapons, how do you expect the simple man to resist the temptation for something as simple as avoiding an annoying phone call?

Sorry, but you guys are just not worth the effort. I think it's dumb to make such a fuss of what James Damore wrote, I don't think he is the pure evil that SJWs make him out to be. However, I also don't think he's worth reading.

Judgement day and Watchmen I can understand, but who the hell would consider Dark Knight Returns SJW? It's clearly right wing, somewhere between facist (might and right style, not statism style) and libertarianism.

Historically, DC had a few good one shots, take Fables for example. The trick is either to look at their Vertigo label, or to make sure you are following specific writers (although that doesn't always work, due to management).

In manga and in one shots, there's a pretty stable continuity, exactly because they make sure to keep it contained instead of creating infinite sequels. Not all comics is crappy superheroes.

There are actually a few good comics for adults. I would recommend checking stuff like '20th century boys' or 'Über' or Grant Morrison's 'Doom patrol' or Gail Simone's 'Secret Six'.

  17. Most superhero comics are just brand based crap. Superman or Batman change almost completely from writer to writer, their adventures often contradicting each other. The only reason that they are written to begin with is because of the stupid robotic nerds who buy anything with the right brand on it.
