They say that the Saturn V blue prints where destroyed in order to focus 100% on the STS Shuttle. But I never think that was a good idea. Saturn V have taken us to the moon after all.

    Many thanks for the info!

  5. Are you aware of the big hole you are creating? on Ask Red Hat CEO Matthew Szulik · · Score: 1

    Hi,
    I have 2 questions:
    Question #1
Are you aware that RedHat is creating a big hole in the value Linux servers? I live in a 3rd world country, and paying the licence for a RHE ES server will cost me 3 months of the salary of a employee.
So, what I can do is buy a server software in the range of 60 to 100$

This price range, 60 to 100$, is a big segment of the market that RedHat will not be in.
So, you are leaving this segment to be filled by Mandrake or Suse.

Why is not RedHat in this segment anymore? And are you aware of this situation? (Of course you are, but can you explain your position about this price segment?)

    Question #2
Will Fedora have security erratas like RH9?
I will only use Fedora if it has security erratas.
Thats it. And I have been a RH user since RH4.2.

    Many thanks for your time.

The sad, sad news is that Firebird and Thunderbird will not made it into 1.5 :-(

In the new roadmap they clearly specified that Firebird in Thunderbird must have been included in 1.5, but then, they patched the roadmap to say that 1.5 will be the standard AppSuite.

I was having high hopes on 1.5, but now, is just another release for me. Meantime, I using Firebird every day and will start using Thunderbird too soon. Since MailNews is my primary mailreader, I want it more support in Thunderbird from mozilla developers before I switch.

I buyed RH many times, but never the profesional or enterprise version. They were too expensive for my country(3rd world one).
When RH decided to drop the 20-250$ price products, they left that price window it open for all other distros to come in and steal RH market share.
I'm too don't know what to do and what to recomend to my customers. Suse? Mandrake?

you have a constant number of developers but an incriesing number of inovation. Every innovation has an increising number of bugs reports. Developer have a constant capacity of fixing bugs.

So, do the Math. Mozilla can't support so many innovations in every release because the number of developers are not incriesing.

What do we need? An aplication with costant features that has no bugs, or an aplication that has many features but is buggy?

Seems to me that this innovation stuff is more like a marketing campaing. Sad to hear that the campaing is comming from the development department and not from the marketing department.
