    There is one problem, after a little while the tumor sends out little tumors throughout the body (as many know) but what many don't is that when the main tumor is destroyed the smaller ones start growing (do to a lack of a substance that the main tumor sends throughout the body).

    I remember that one of my teachers last year had Kazaa on her laptop, the same laptop that she had her grades on and the same laptop that was connstantly connected to a wireless network, with a little searching im sure i could have gotten the spreadsheet (yes spreadsheet) that the grades were on. Granted this isn't something i would do, but it makes you think..

    Great idea, hopefully this is non-profit. This is great b/c its giving the kids that don't have any major social outlet one, if anything its helping then vent their anger through friends with common interests and games... and isn't it jocks that beat up geeks?

    Small computers are great, but they do lack one thing that most geeks see as paramount in desktop systems, that is upgrading and builing them yourself. Though with laptops you can add/remove ram and harddrive(s) you cannot change the key compontents such as the cpu. What we need is some kind of standard that small/wearable computers need to be built around, not only would that help small businesses that don't have the money to start from scratch but it would also make a wearable computers move forward and become aplicable to the things we use desktops and servers for today.

    What can i say besides good start? But didn't an island in Ireland already do this? Hopefully this trend will move out of the artic circle and into Europe, though sadly i can't imagine the US and third world nations doing this anytime soon.

    It seems that the device is portable and picks up on signals sent from the TV (and/or radio) to determine what people are watching

    From what I gather this is to be used by others to pick up your signals, next to legal action you really can't do anything about it

  17. Newbie on Finding the Programming Zone? · · Score: 1

    I have been programming for about 3 months now, even though i am still learning a lot when i did my first real project i learn a lot on what helps me get from point A to point B. I like to have my desk cleared with a sheet of loose leaf and a pencil. This comes in handy if i need to plan something out. As for music something like epic trance is probably the best for the job. Since i goto school durring the week the best time is around 4-6 on friday, i have the weekend to look forward to yet i can still go out to a movie or what have you. As for drinking, red bull is the shits for doing any sort of work. Anyone else have a setup like this?

    In my case when im doing something (studying/coding/ect) my desk is usually covered in papers, though when im just sitting there my desk is clean. Generally if you walk into someones office and see their desk cluttered with papers (check for dust and the dates on papers) you would think they are keeping busy.

    Sure i can program, build a machine from scratch, ect but when i and the tech savy in general have say a car problem (and yes i know many geeks can fix cars.. but this is just an example) they go to a mechanic and when the mechanics machine is acting up they come to us. There are many gaps in our world and we can't close them all.

    Just because Microsoft is secretive with their code. So far all that I have seen is a small snipit of memory-related code. And we have to face it, Windows is what most people use, if it were open source it could be made much stabler then it is now.
