I agree. xBSD may be fine on silly old UltraSparcs, but when you get into the multiprocessor world Solaris is a tough game to beat. You can't beat Sun's support as well if you can afford it.
I guess it's all about what you are most comfortable with and your budget/free time.
I'm rather surprised that the FCC is allowing a service like this over public frequencies. It's like NBC all of a sudden scrambling their signals and require you to buy a box and pay a montly fee to watch their programming and commericals.
On one hand I think it's pretty cool, but also it sucks because the airwaves should belong to the public domain for all to enjoy together. Rather this situation only benefits a small group.
My girlfriend at the time smashed the LCD panel on her Canon laptop. All I had to do to fix it was to remove the offending part, get the part number off it and call up Canon's parts department. Fixed the laptop and saved a lot of cash.
I've also done this for a Clarion car stereo's tape player (yeah tapes!), and a Mitsubishi 91TXM montitor's control panel.
Besides, how can I break something that is already broken. Trick is to get the parts department and not the bobo head sales/support people.
I pretty much started out my programming career on the hot-off-the-press Core PHP book. The online documentation is good as a reference, but for someone getting started Core PHP is well balanced enough so the reader doesn't get crushed by details.
50 million people have spoken against telemarketing. The Do Not Call list could be regarded as a petition couldn't it? So why is Oklahoma against the people? Smells like somebody is selling out...
I had a 2000 VW Gold TDI and pulled 700 miles on a 15 gallon tank. I'm backwards-math-dyslexic but anybody should know that some crazy mad milage. Not bad for a car that has ~150 ft/lbs tourque. That and ya can fill up with the big rigs.
If somebody removes the offending code and replaces it with something functionally similar that would be a nice kick in the balls (if they have any) to SCO right?
Looks like slashdot just had an impact on the server. :)

Have you tried updating the PROM before trying Solaris 9?
Isn't gasoline organic? Isn't a fuel cell "rechargeable".
That would be great if they made a battery that recharged off of human methane emissions... heh.
Or should that be LoHack?

Now the homeless in Baltimore can be geeks too!
Ooooh. The old "Pork in your eye" thing. I hate when that happens.
