Forget it. It could get stolen, broken, dunked in beer, whatever. Your school probably gives out free planners for each academic year. Get one of those and use a pen!
What exactly do you need to raise money for? Can your group exist without fundraisers, or can you get funding directly from the school?
Groups are a lot more fun when money isn't a big issue. Yes, I know it's tough, but if you try to cut out things like "rewards for officers" or whatnot, clubs are easier to run.
I'm so sorry that you like to spend so much time online. I had hoped that you could grow up to be a healthy, trim, and sociable person. Now you'll have monitor tan, eye strain, and a big gut from sitting around all day. Enjoy not having any friends!
Love, -Folks
Seriously, though, see if you can note particular changes (physical / mental) that happened because of the increased net use. For example, after a summer of independent coding / database work, I found that I couldn't speak up to save me -- I would stutter. A consequence of the computer I'd say.
Well, OK, happy hacking. Either way, from looking at your links, I have the $70 one. No function row, no numpad, adn the arrows in the right corner. It is "light", and small, and that's all I wanted. Never a problem yet... I guess I didn't RTFOP... but hey, for anyone who wants to decrease their keyboard footprint, snag one of these.
Let me guess... you bought a happy hacker keyboard. But you didn't want to shell out the $70 for the newer, USB model, so you bought the older, much cheaper, PS/2 model. Well, eat it.
I have the newer, in black, usb version. It's FUCKING GREAT! Very small footprint (I never use the function keys or the numpad anyway, so it was great to get rid of them). Everything fits, and I REALLY REALLY like the control key at my left pinky. Getting used to the fn-delete for backspace was a slight trick at first, but I've got it mastered. All in all, I'd say very very worth the $70 or whatever I paid for it. Yes just a keyboard, but man, it's worth every penny! I bought mine from some linux___.com or something site. Good luck! -Rob
Carpool -- gather a coworker on the same 9-5 who is within a few miles, and go with him.
Move closer -- do you rent an apt? Get one nextdoor to work, and then shazaaam, you can walk. (Hey, I live on campus, so this option works great for me)
Electric stuff is bogus now, and even the hybrids don't get good miles, apparently. (See article from recent month). A motorcycle would double your MPG, as might a small small econobox.
But hey, it seems human nature to live in one spot, and work in another. And my "move closer" option particularly sucks when work's metro area is eggggspensive.
Did you forget to mention distributed.net ? They have been doing this for years... OGR, DES, RC5, CSC... dare I say the biggest one ever, except for the ueber-d.net-geeks who had to choose SETI.:)
Not only will you get good tools, but most folks look there first. You can always move up to something custom, and SF will still link to your homepage, files, etc (AFAIK). -Rob
Migrate them either to an Apple, or get them to use Mozilla Firefox (.8 is actually very stable, and the plugins install very well), and Mozilla thunderbird (again, 0.5 is great).
Security through a combination of obscurity and better design.
Certainly you can pinpoint with some accuracy what's wrong. Pull it, smash it, and replace it. Nothing beats good hardware, or quality hardware... or just replacing stuff. Everything is so cheap nowadays, that you could buy the network card for $5, the video card for $20... Parrallel loopback cable? Scrap it, move to USB. And, please, don't buy eMachines --- my monitor caught fire, the NIC stopped working, and the video card stopped working. Monitor on their dime, others on my $5.
Good luck, and not to credit windows for much, but I've found that, in XP, the system will detect or analyze hardware problems reasonably correctly.
A helpful suggestion: migrate all of the nudity or objectionable material to another domain, say artattack.org instead of.com (or whatever). Hopefully the ISPs wont follow the links...
That, or some sort of randomization-domain scheme using nude.artattack.org
Sure hope that this Robert Ehrlich isn't that shithead rightwing republican suck my ass governor of ours... If so, he can take his writing and shove it right up his tuition-cutting ass.
Cough cough.. umm... cybiko? You know, those ultra-cool PDA / IM / Wireless / All kinds of PDA crap devices? Ebay them for about $5 now, I expect no less from these new ones. -Rob

Boy you must have a helluva power bill using all those old boxes!
Yes but you don't need burst of demag going at your digital camera!
Well, gee, maybe Akklaim would have published it, if those bastards hadn't gone belly up and dropped their share price to $0.006

Dayglo paint, and the flag people running around in a glowing bus.
It's the electric kool aid acid test all over again!
A flying-things racing game where you could set all kinds of view angles / replays.
WTF, even if the brake pedal (hello, aren't we still on hydraulic brakes???) wouldn't stop the car, couldn't he have shifted it into neutral?
Selling his or her token to some freak on ebay!

No way? Rotor, stator, brush, AC / DC ... wow, such new terms.
Who gave this clown airtime?
GO OUT AND HAVE SOME DAMN FUN! The IT world will still suck when you return. :)

But what about Oberon? I know that they at least made a native x86 distrib OS sometime around v3, but i think it's been a programming language after 4

Of course, if it's a true science guy, kudo's!
Better switch to burning things ... so that 25 years from now the high-tech will be reconstructing from ash.
