Harry Potter has been very important in the UK, mainly because it got young people reading books again instead of just gawping at television. This book is also the final Harry Potter that JK Rowling will write.
The software giant fights off more than 100,000 attacks every month, protecting their data-heavy internal network from the paws of your average script kiddie.
According to Alexa, Yahoo! is the most visited site on the net, followed by MSN* and then Google. You could say then that Google is the third most popular search engine and therefore not a monopoly.
*This is probably only true because Microsoft attempts to set the default homepage to MSN with every update to IE.
I'm trying to think of what I used my phone for in the last 3 days:
* Talking to people * Sending text messages * Bluetoothed a movie over to my computer and stuck it on You Tube * Used the Calendar to remind me of an event
So far I can't actually think of any feature my phone is completely pointless...
Seriously though, Microsoft will probably keep throwing money at it until they get it right. Personally I doubt I'll ever pick one up though, Rockbox will keep me happy until my iRiver dies and then I'll just pick up another player that is supported.
I love it when a review doesn't bother to mention the system specs. Will this run on a basic Core System, do you need a hard drive or a high resolution screen?
Funny now, but let's see what happens when Halo 3 comes out...
So I'm going to be able to download movies with my 2GB max usage per month am I? Let's see, I think it's around 700MB for the lowest quality movie isn't it? So I can get 2 movies each month, which won't even be in High Definition and feature no the deleted scenes / alternative endings. And since I don't even live in the US I'm not even going to be offered this service...
Fuck that, I'll just get a PS3 and be done with it.
If it succeeds, then they'll know about it before they do it. Then again, if they do know it about it before they do it then they'll have to do it otherwise it'll create a paradox. No wait, if it does succeed then they can't NOT do it because they did do it.
I've heard of that book, it even came with a copy of the internet on a floppy disk...
The scene from I, Robot where all the androids take over the city...

If you want a viable answer to the worlds energy needs I think we need to think outside this particular box.
We'll get there in the end, but for the moment I think we need to accept that even though it's not perfect, it is a step in the right direction.
I reckon we should get Microsoft to design a solution though. Then it's guaranteed to work after the third attempt...

frickin' laser beams on their heads!
I read this on a messageboard years ago, it still makes me laugh to this day:
No one uses Java anymore, it's all flash these days.

According to Microsoft, the documentation is over 8500 pages.
