    One of 2 things is going on:
    1-The /. Editors are more picky than even and rejecting other more interesting stories. (Zonk posted about 8 stories yesterday!)

    OR

    2-The /. Editors have little to choose from in terms of submitted stories and are scraping the bottom of the barrel. (Heck, I don't bother to post any more)

    It's the downward spiral of /.
    Fewer posted stories, fewer reasons to comeback to see new stories (and the ads...)
    It might seem to be a slow week on Slashdot but stories fly on Digg.
    No amount of cosmetic surgery on ./ will fix that.

    -Methanol is poisonous. You can drink Ethanol though

    The USPTO is underfunded because the government TAKES money from the patent application fees. If this is remotely sucessful, the government will just take more money out of the USPTO.

    Maybe he doesn't bother because he know what I've been preaching:

    Windows developers are always willing to trade end-user security for fewer support calls.

    Meanwhile, as an admin, I have to try to make these crapola, "we still live in a Windows 95 world" applications work with limited user accounts.

    Heck, I've heard IE not working right if your not admin. (I would know directly myself, I use FF under Limited User)

    In the show, in the Alphaverse ( a parallel universe with more advanced technology than use) everybody has a chip in their wrist. They use is as a debit card. The corporations/governments use it as population control. If you don't have a chip, you don't exist and anybody can kill you.

    BTW: Yes, it's a good show but the pace is slower than lets say BSG.

    Think about it. lots of exceptions out there and this "wii" name was created by marketdroids that like to mispell alot. so you never know.

    I see your point but the parent's point is that if Toyota was like MS, Toyota would issue a recall on your truck to put in a warning system in case you put in that said liftkit.

    Imagine something like you turn the ingnition key for the 1st time after you install your liftkit and through the radio you here:
    "We have detected a non-Toyota accessory. Please honk twice to engage in a binding legal agreement saying that you understand that Toyota did not magnufacture or install the liftkit, and holding Toyota harmless in the event that the liftkit does not function correctly, damages your truck, or directly causes terrorist attacks on the United States."
