A more realistic method of getting corporations to actually obey laws is to hold the people who run those corporations individually responsible for the malfeasance, starting with the CEO. Fine the company too, but fine the executives. And how about a three-strikes law for those executives? Three offenses equals mandatory jail time.

    Now that's a three-strikes law I can get behind.

Another 20 minutes a week working out how to do something that is banal in any real email client. That's over an hour each week wasted on crappy software. One hour of my time, especially at the companys expense, is not minor.

When you spend all day working with software, and a lot of time with a particular app like an email client, the choice of software has a huge impact on your work environment.

This is a case of Care vs Profit. Doctors and other health care professionals are trained to care. Hospitals, HMOs and insurance companies are in it for the profit. Profit wins out over training through coercive and/or surreptitious practices. For example, the doctors who work for HMOs may get bonuses for rejecting a certain percentage of claims or for rejecting the most claims. With NHS doctors are more likely to be carers first, profit centers second.

I agree with some responders who suggest your interviewing skills might be lacking. I highly recommend setting up some dummy interviews with a friend or willing colleague. Take it seriously, google some tech interview questions. Here's the key: video yourself being interviewed, then review the video. You will learn a ton about how you come across in the interview. Work on the areas that need work, then do it again and again until you are relaxed, composed and in command. Interviewing is the key to getting a job, and this method works well for improving your interviewing skills.

You can compare killing your own species to killing other species for food - when it's for survival. You kill other species to eat, your own species due to competitive pressures, often over food. Think tribes in jungles.

The other way that killing humans is like humans killing other species, is when other species kill us for food, like great whites, crocodiles, dingos etc. Totally natural.

As to the point that we are omnivores, well yes, that's true, but what we eat is more nurture than nature. It's actually very easy to live on a vegetarian diet (I have done so for 20 years), and you may have been brought up that way.

I know you may be yelling "bullsh*t" at that last statement, but if you haven't tried it, don't knock it.

I totally agree. Vangelis' music and the future LA scenery have a huge impact in the Final Cut . The voiceover in the original just distracts from that. Plus the voiceover is redundant anyway, there is plenty of exposition through Deckers conversations with the police chief and the head of the replicant corporation. Really, I thought the scenery was great in the theatrical release, but in the Final Cut it takes on a whole new dimension. For that alone the Final Cut comes out as way superior than the theatrical release.
