Perhaps you were never heard these sayings before:
-Look before you leap
-Think before you speak/act
-Measure twice, cut once
It's always a good idea to try to think through the consequences of something that may be irreversible. If it came down to your personal safety I doubt you'd be reckless, so why be reckless with everyone else's?
Most of the starvation could be solved if (not to make fun) we sent them luggage instead of food.
That might be a nice solution if that's what the problem really was. Famines are political, not agricultural, in nature. Ever heard of the great potato famine? While people were starving there were great piles of potatoes piled on up on shipping docks...rotting.
Oh, please. Not every man is design impaired, and color and styling may be among the criteria evaluated in a purchase. When you buy a car, or clothes or whatever do you completely eschew color and design? I doubt it.
While the very few will take function completely over form most of us enjoy having something that is aesthecially pleasing besides being of great functional value.
Am I to assume from the tone of your post that if you were to be able to have a girlfriend/boyfriend you would completely ignore looks?:-)
Come on. This isn't flamebait. From Cheney meeting secretly to determine national energy policy to Rumsfeld visiting Iraq to facilitate oil pipiline construction that's exactly what this administration is about. Even a Republican would heartily agree that the admnistration agenda is to promote the interests of the monied and the corporations and to eventually privatize everything. That's what supply side economics is all about (otherwise know as starving the beast).
Same here. Besides disliking the quality of the playback I hated the spyware component. I decided more than a year ago to stop viewing any Real content at all. I've missed it about as much as I miss not having a TV, which is to say not at all.
I'm sure that after reading all of Ayn Rand's books you are an expert on what makes economies work. Has it ever occurred to you that the Greens are long term thinkers? Corporations and big business are generally about plunder (get there first and claim/take all the resources), while others are thinking about a long term way towards quality of life for more than the people who have managed to acquire more wealth than they need.
I used to be an avid fan of Ayn Rand too, but she's limited to the one dimension of greed. If you look around and "see the world for what it is" you will find many people who don't really fit into this paradigm. It doesn't mean they don't want to work for a living, it's just that they also live balanced lives.
And greedy people are not just trying to "better their own lives." They are pathological in their quest to acquire...everything. To "win."
Please, it's the red wine and the ale that matter. The food is secondary. If you feel that certain types of drink and food go together please get your priorities straight.:-)
...due to the poor quality of Apples products, and their cavalier attitude towards making their products last.
You must have had some pretty bad experiences with Apple product. Personally, I own two, my wife owns two and where I work we have three plus the boss has a still perfectly working bronze Powerbook. In fact, we only recently ditched an old 7300 that we used for digital captures. It was purchased in 1987 and still working fine. I would, however, say that the iMac we still have at work is quirky.
Besides the four my wife and I own now between the two of us we've owned five or six more previously. If I felt like I'd been getting dumped on by Apple I wouldn't still be buying their products.
I own a second generation iPod (5GB) and the thing works perfectly. My wife had a problem with her first gen iPod and Apple replaced the battery no questions asked. I wouldn't call that a cavalier attitude.
Apparently one can be enough of a nerd to care about what's on the barcode, read the Moron post above and still make the same mistake. Criminy.

Borrow from friends and family.
Have a working spouse.
Borrow from your credit cards."
Sounds like good advice for losing your house, your friends, your marriage and ending up in debtors prison.
Hook enough of those toys together and you get this.

The above comment is merely an observation.
Some people are comfortable with this strict parent form of government. I would not be. If I lived in the UK I'd be angry about this.
Now imagine the telescope you're going to need read it.
Indeed! But tomorrow seems kind of soon. Possibly by next Tuesday though....
I know. It filled me full of awe as well.
