AC: "As I - and I would think any sane individual, although I seem to be proved wrong - see it, there is no conflict of interest if it is in a blind trust. I mean, WTF!?"
The assets are in a blind trust while you're in office...8 years at most. You get control back when you're out of office. Call me crazy, but I wouldn't mind exchanging my investment assets for a cash balance in exchange for being the most powerful man in the world for a few years. Furthermore, I think it is a sacrifice that should be made by a president to maintain the integrity of the White House. By forcing a president to hold cash, it pretty much becomes his best interest to keep the US dollar strong.
Kind of makes you wonder why there isn't a requirement that a president's assets should be sold off and converted to cash, instead of being put into a blind trust for the term of his office. That way you won't see these types of conflicts of interest.
That's ok, there's no good summary at the site anyway. I saw this on DVD a while ago. Basically, Penn & Teller were pointing out that there are no studies that prove second hand smoke is bad for you. The anti-smoking people who point out a famous FDA (?) study to support their cause are actually citing a study that says the data is inconclusive.
Of course, second hand smoke *still* makes everyone's clothing stink, but you can chose to go elsewhere if that's a problem.
It was a surprise ending...turns out it was the little boy all along.

A Powermac is not an entry-level system; it is a workstation system for people who really need the power. An entry-level system is what you buy a kid or grandparent, such as an eMac ($800) or iMac ($1,300).
Similarly: Dell Dimension desktop: entry level Dell Precision workstation: professional
Luckily, all those years of playing Duck Hunt paid off and we were able to shoot that balloon down. Ha!...hoisted by your own petard Nintendo!
btw, anyone ever notice how much Nintendo stuff (clothing, stickers) is on the shelves at Hot Topic? They don't seem to mind alt.culture when there's a buck in it.
Nintendo stepped way over the line and was utterly wrong. If someone mentions that X and Y are her favorite video games, that is not mis-use. I think in the end, it was a case of lawyers getting caught with their pants down in their zealotry.
The updates will come along with the guide data if you chose to use ethernet. My Series 2 has never touched a phone line (I was using the #409 trick b4 ethernet was officially supported) and I've gotten all of the updates.
After linking on/., I have a fleeting suspicion that your Firefox usage stats are about to go through the roof:) And the server will likely need a hip replacement after the/.'ing.
Maybe the idea is to get people to think of Latinos a group of people that share an ethnic heritage, instead of being some strange, exotic "race." Keep in mind that Italians and Irish were thought of as separate races at the turn of the last century.
It takes a little getting used to, but I'm finding that it's better organized and it's easier to see all the current headlines. Their pages seem to load much faster, too.
No of course not. If something like Google Adsense lets you, as a web site publisher, block your competitors' sites from coming up in the Google text ad box, then you, as a game publisher, can stipulate that you don't want your competitors advertised in your game.
To me, all those 9's and 5's make something look expensive. If I see a zero, it seems more affordable. To me, 99 cents "feels more" than 1 dollar (since 99 is more than 1). Of course, retailers that actually use whole numbers ($20 instead of $19.95) also seem more honest.

Over here in the states, we refer to your PM as "Governor Howard" :)
$2-$3???? The most expensive of lawyers only charge 25 cents to copy a page.

Then they'd kick it in the box and shove it because your dog wants steak and hilarity would ensue.
was the group hard-on obtained by every Tolkein fanboy out there imagining their fantasy world coming true.
Cool, I can store it in my Klein bottle when it's not being used!
I think Mrs. Slocumb started it on "Are You Being Served?"

:)
There's quite a few beer cans inside my mom's new front porch...it enhances the strength of the rebar...really
Less valuable to hoodlums and more valuable to peaceful citizens and law enforcement. As long as the "truth" is revealed, it will be valuable.
Yeah, look how the Menendez boys turned out!

Would you prefer a window or aisle seat?
I hear the sticker gives you a few extra gigs of storage space!
"...If, on the other hand, someone were to use this to turn off the Sox Yankees game on me, they would be in a world of pain....Go Sox!"
:)
You should thank that person for saving you from being disappointed
