The Plain View displays (by Raytheon) in the early '70s had an anticipated lifetime of 1015 years; those in the centers today are now at least 10 years past this estimate.
I wouldn't have thought there would be much call for air traffic control in A.D. 970.
I'd have to go back and watch it again, but I was under the impression that Ragnar was a gas giant, and it was the strong electromagnetic field that was affectng the Cylons' delicate brains (given a long-enough exposure).
I also recommend the Pentax K1000, and any other completely manual camera body. Just a word of advice. As long as the camera body works, it doesn't have to be expensive. If you are looking to save money, look here. DON'T buy cheap lenses. Skimp on the lenses and you may end up with scratched or hazy lenses, or lenses with fungal growth on the glass. If you really want to save money, you can buy a used 50mm lens for not a lot of money, rather than buying a cheap, crappy zoom. The 50 will give you better image quality, and will force you to work at one focal length - I think this forces you to become a better photographer.
Blue screen? What blue screen? Ever since I installed W2K I have never seen the blue screen again.
Pansy. You are clearly not trying hard enough. I've had 4 W2K workstations, 1 W2k laptop, 1 WXP laptop, and 8 W2K servers. I've seen them all either blue-screen or lock-up completely. And about half have unexplicably and spontaneously rebooted themselves.

Anyone with half a brain and/or access to someone that can take the time to teach them a bit will be perfectly safe from such things.
Again, however, anyone with half a brain or access to a help desk minion/techie friend or family member will be able to remove such software through programs like Ad-Aware or Spybot.
While both of these arguments may be true, they seem to run counter to reality. Most people are blissfully unaware of just how much garbage their machine is collecting - and spewing. I always enjoy reading my firewall logs right after new worm comes out.
I'm sorry, but if someone thinks the only way to get rid of ad/spyware is a complete wipe of the drive, then they're an idiot.
That may be, but that idiot is often just doing what the "knowledgable" tech support rep told them to do!
I could go on and on, I've been using linux on my desktop primarily for more than 10 years now and there's no way that I'd give it to somebody not extremely computer literate...
There's your problem. New versions have come out in the last 10 years. You should upgrade, you may be pleasantly surprised.
Seriously, I don't see any of those arguments as being valid any longer. Not the Word document argument, not the web argument, not even the management and configuration arguments. You do have a mild point about games, but there are a lot of people who just don't care about games. I'm one of those people.
And the original Wal-Mart workers move down a notch to homelessness. Wal-Mart can afford a race to the bottom because poor Americans can't afford to shop elsewhere.
That reminds me of a recent Wal-Mart ad where a woman had graduated from college, and was trying to find a job with her new degree. Her mother, a Wal-Mart manager, got her to go to work at Wal-Mart, and now she's an assistant manager. The ad was clearly aimed at unemployed degree-holders.
I personally have been looking for work for three months. I'd like to go back to school, perhaps change careers. Maybe what I - or rather, WE - should be doing is working together to change this situation, rather than complain loudly all the way to the unemployment office.

Is it then right to knowingly foist an ineffective scheme on a client and then bitch when you are discovered? Or was it unknowingly foisted? Which is it - fraud or incompetence?
Or are the prosecutors going to keep throwing hissy fits until they get a verdict they like?

Despite the best intentions, the Avrocar was more hovercraft than aircraft.
I dunno, those buildings are kinda old...
cloud-which-kills-Cylons was stupid

That's what I thought too: "Oh, it's the probe camera shot"

Hey, that's a pretty good score for a pundit!
Not everyone can edit a PDF. I would recommend RTF.
Great, it's happened. A Lindows-only post.
Synaptic anyone??
We all know that these genetically engineered glowing fish are evil!

SCO issued a statement today saying "Yuh huh!"
IBM and SGI issued a joint reply stating "Nuh uh!"

This can happen if the rider speeds up abruptly, encounters an obstacle, or continues to ride after receiving a low-battery alert.
All of which are the rider's fault. By that logic we should recall cars, boats, and planes as well.
to justify not using spellcheck?
Whatever model Alfa, buy the last model year of that car, the Italians will have ironed out all the bugs by then.
Ahhh, so that's where Microsoft got it from!
Good advice, though. I know someone who owned one - clearly not the last year of that model - and his mechanic saw more of the car than he did.
I've never known Darl to take things out of context, so it must be true!
Actually I was thinking of the Developer's Edition! :)
