I upgraded just now (win32), and now my home button doesn't work. It totally ignores it. When I middle click on the home button, it _DOES_ open home in a new tab. This is really odd.
What games? I've bought several games recently, and I only see the unskippable copyright notice. This is on xbox. Does that warning only apply to Nintendo? I just went and looked at Burnout 3 and I didn't see anything about health warnings.
I never paid much attention to how it works. I've just never heard anything that even compares to it. The protocol they use is really cool. I love how it can bypass NATs altogether by just routing it through someone who DOES have an open port, and it even keeps the traffic encrypted end to end so the peer nodes can't listen in.
I think it's one of the coolest "free" projects I've ever seen.
I just wish they'd open up their codec and let the rest of the world use it. It is awesome, sounding just as good as if the person was standing in front of you. My packet8 sounds like shit compared to it.
I signed up. It's a neat concept. I'd normally vote for Badnarik, but I'm in a "swing state" so that vote might help miserable failure win. I can trade votes with someone who is in a democrat "safe" state like Massachusetts. We both win. They basically cast their vote which wouldn't make a difference in my state, and I cast mine for a third party candidate in their state, upping the percentage for the third party candidate and helping swing my state away from Bush.
I'm not getting it. I might get this french version to look at the pretty graphics, but I don't play FPS on consoles. It's too hard to control via 2 sticks when you're used to WASD(I actually use ESDF) and a mouse.
PAL works just fine on a modded NTSC xbox. So does any other signal format. It's just digital video being rendered at a certain resolution and being pumped out in a certain way, depends on which av pack you have.
There was no hiding or deception. There has always been an option to "allow downloading of premium content". I don't understand why this is news. It is free to play all the games on xbox live, that's why EA and MS fought so much. However if you want to download additional maps/players/vehicles on many games you have to pay a small one-time fee. I downloaded an additional course for Links2k4 and it was the best 5 bucks I've ever spent.
It's just like buying an expansion pack in a store, except it's delivered instantly with a button press from your recliner.
Once again, why is this news? "Evil company follows through with allowing publishers to publish software and then charge for it online." OH NO!!! Won't somebody PLEASE think of the children?!?
It allows more things to be unlocked in the game. It isn't just all unlocked by default when you apply the patch. I'm really not sure what all it does, but the game continues to surprise me with how "raunchy", yet hilarious it continues to be.
The endings are hilarious with each girl, especially the band leader(forgot her name).
If you really want to experience this game in it's full glory, you can rip it to you hard drive after you buy it and then apply a patch to it that you can download online. It unlocks all these things like nudity and other stuff that isn't normally available. This isn't like the nude hack for DOA replacing textures, this is actually unlocking portions of the game that I guess they had to lock for distribution in various markets.
#!/usr/bin/php -q <? //$pass=""; while(!trim($pass) or !((strlen($pass)==13) or strlen($pass)==6)) {
echo "Please enter ASCII key: ";
$fh=fopen("php://stdin","r");
$pass=trim(fgets($fh,1024));
echo "\n"; } echo "HEX key is: "; for($x=0;$x<=strlen($pass);$x++) {
echo dechex(ord(substr($pass,$x,1))); } echo "\n"; ?>
Make it executable and make sure the path to php is right on the first line.
Then just run./wepgen.php and it will prompt you for a password. Either enter a string of 6 characters(64 bit) or 13 characters(128 bit), and yes it must be either 6 or 13. It will give you the hex equivalent. It converts each character to the ascii decimal and then converts that into hex. Enter that into your router page.
Now on the clients you have an extremely easy task. In windows and linux you can just put in your regular password without remembering a hex string. In linux you just do iwconfig eth1 essid whatever key s:password-here.
The s tells it you are going to use a string instead of a hexadecimal key.
Whatever you believe, this dude is a great corporate cheerleader, a real relic from the late nineties. If he isn't genuinely excited about his company, he sure does a great job of faking it.
I don't see what the big deal is with allowing OE and Outlook to use the webdav on the free accounts. I don't think the vast amount of abuse comes from those clients.
I think it comes from(in order): 1) Spoofing the from. Duh. 2) People scripting access to the site, much quicker than relying on outlook.
As usual, it's a company creating more problems to spit at a problem they aren't going to fix, and indeed can't fix except with really good spam filters, and sender id(tee hee).
If you can find one of these, get one. It comes out of your car and plugs in as a mass storage device(not 802.11b). They were linux based IIRC and sonicblue bought them if I'm not mistaken and they stopped making them and made "Rio Car" which is also not anywhere to be found new.
I never understood why someone stealing the source code caused a delay before. It's not like they deleted the only copy. They just MADE a copy. I think they just like seeing their title in headlines all the time.
This game better not suck. What's funnier is a huge HL2 ad on the right when I hit read more.
Remember, the reason for the x-prize isn't to send civilians into space. It is so that the government doesn't have to do as much research. They basically get free R&D by leaving it to the private sector to make a reusable spacecraft.
I think it's an awesome idea, and privitization is always the best. One million to the government is almost nothing and it's really not much to most of the x-prize contestants. They do it for the fun and the gov does it for the research.
Gaim is really awesome. We use it internally at work for Jabber(internal instant messenging). It's amazing just how many protocols it supports natively. It is a great client even though it's using GTK in windows. I already donated to the gaim project, and so should anyone else who uses it on a regular basis.
I love this project and hope it continues well into the future.
E&B was an awesome MMORPG, and I don't even like MMORPG's. I just loved flying my ship around however I wanted and building up my ship's abilities. It was also cool walking around inside the bases and "talking" to other players and NPCs.
I was in the beta of E&B, but after it wasn't free anymore, I didn't pay for it, so I guess it wasn't fun ENOUGH to capture part of my wallet. This may explain why it failed, but normally you couldn't pay me to play an MMORPG.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I love it when the pollsters call me up and I get to give my opinion and answer good and bad about $CANDIDATE.
Although, I haven't gotten any calls since I moved to VoIP(Packet8), so I don't know if they haven't been able to get my number or something, but I don't think the Do Not Call List applies to political candidates. This might be different though because supposedly polls don't work FOR candidates but rather provide an "objective" view.
Yeah, that's great, just tell everyone so they can go attack it. That's really smart. If I were the shipper or receiver, or any territory between which this parcel traveled, I would want it to be at least SOMEWHAT of a secret.
Oh well. Security through obscurity is better than no security at all.
The only programming worth anything on G4TechTV are the shows which were on Tech TV. I've WANTED to like other g4 shows, but they suck. Arena: come on, who wants to hear play by plays on an rpg meetup. Cheats: that dude is annoying as hell and totally useless. G4TV: I'd rather watch Saved By The Bell.
All their shows suck. The only tech tv show they kept that sucked was robot wars. I love the rest of the tech tv shows. I wish they had kept Call For Help(Viva Leo) and Tech Live(tv version of slashdot). I can't believe G4 killed those two.
I never really learned anything from CFH in terms of computer using skills, but I picked up photoshop skills from Alex and I found out about some great shareware, and I love Leo's personality on tv.
Kevin and Alex Albrecht are a great team on The Screensavers. I think that is really what keeps me paying all this money for digital cable.
I can't even get digital broadcasts of some of the major networks in my market because the stupid cable company won't negotiate a contract with all of them. The only major network that I get that is digital is ABC.
I do love my digital techtv though. That is the only digital channel that I watch. I wish fox and comedy central were digital because those are the other two channels that I watch most often.
I upgraded just now (win32), and now my home button doesn't work. It totally ignores it. When I middle click on the home button, it _DOES_ open home in a new tab. This is really odd.
Has anyone else had this problem?

It has English subtitles.

He was probably to busy doing his monkey dance, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, or something else.
Whatever you believe, this dude is a great corporate cheerleader, a real relic from the late nineties. If he isn't genuinely excited about his company, he sure does a great job of faking it.

It might mean something, but I have no idea what it is.
According to the master of the universe:
41.11 degrees Celsius = 105.99800 degrees Fahrenheit
106? Does that mean something?
Chris
