  1. This is not a voting site on Overseas ISPs Blocked From US Voting Website · · Score: 4, Informative

This site provides information about voting absentee. The summary and title makes it look like they are letting people vote online, and I almost flipped out before I RTFA.

I know others won't RTFA so I wanted to throw that out there. I hope they never allow voting online, as this is the most sacrosanct privilege we have and I don't want anyone to have the ability to intercept my or anyone else's vote.

It's not a big problem to drive to the nearest school to punch a few buttons and hit "cast vote".

I just assumed it was made by Synaptics. All of the cool touchpads that allow scrolling and stuff are made by them. I'm not talking about touchpads that just transfer relative movements, but pads that can actually tell the computer where on the touchpad that it is pressed, like a wacom.

I think that is neat because then you have a grid and it can be used as buttons like it is on the 4g ipods.

Sony needs to release a more advanced sdk for game developers. The PS2 isn't even near reaching it's potential and xbox games look SOOO much better simply because the authors can code in c++ and directx, which is what pc programmers have been programming in forever.

People say "graphics don't make the game" and are correct to a certain degree, but when aliased edges suspend your disbelief, it significantly reduces the amount of fun to be had in a sitting.

When you can get into the game and totally forget you're playing a game and just have fun in the "virtual world", that is when you know the developer has made a truly awesome game.

Usually, they are surprised that it wasn't a "real" phone conversation. I have sold a lot of people on it because it's only 20 bucks a month. I'm switching to BroadVoice when they have area codes in my state, because they give you the SIP username/password so you can use Asterisk Linux PBX.

  10. Support on Libertarian Presidential Candidate Michael Badnarik Answers · · Score: 5, Interesting

I fully support Badnarik, and I even placed a banner(even though I hate flash) on my site supporting him. The best thing we can do is promote something other than the 2 party system and Mr. Badnarik is what America needs.

He wants to government out of our lives as much as possible and that is what we need. Our nation was started with a system of checks and balances, and the last 2 administrations(2 different parties) have stripped away many of the liberties we used to enjoy under the ruse of "protecting intellectual property"(dmca) and "terrorism"(patriot et al).

Please vote for him. We need the percentages to go up to convince people to vote outside of the 2 party system. He may not win this time but if he gets more and more and more, it may become a 3 party system.

Don't look at it as throwing away your vote, but rather as placing your vote with the person that you agree with. It's not a horse race; you don't have to bet on the winner, but rather choose who you would like to see in office the most and let the counts fall where they may.

I really am sick of sites that require flash to get actual information. It should be part of the usability guidelines of the web that information be required to be in at least format.

Take these two sites for example. I work in the healthcare profession and we don't run our machines as administrators, and flash isn't installed default on Win2k. When you go to Ochsner's Health Plan website, you can't do anything unless we, as administrators, log in and install flash for them from the activex control, just to log in as a provider.

Also, Houston RoadRunner is the exact same.

I hate flash, a lot, and It annoys me because you can't manipulate fonts, you can't use scroll wheel most of the time, all the control is taken AWAY from the user. I love flash when used for hilarious web cartoons, but using it for content is ridiculous.

But, don't let this stop you from buying this game!!! The single player mode is enough to capture the attention of my ADD self for HOURS AND HOURS. This game is so fast paced that if you blink, you'll probably crash. I find myself leaning and stuff when drifting around corners. This is by FAR the best game I've ever played on the xbox.
