I'm not so sure this will work out so well. After all, the places on earth where one can put a wind farm and get a reliable return without major transmission losses are, well,
This computer should do fine, assimilating every book ever written. We'll just need to hire someone to periodically delete every Agatha Christie novel from its database.
I too was disappointed to discover what a sham these name-a-star services operate. My hope for this service is that names get recognised by BigOfficialStarNameConsortium, and updated in databases such as those used by Celestia or Stellarium.
How cool would it be to give a certificate to a loved one, and then look it up in Google Sky to see it's actually recognised?
(actually there is a bug in slashcode that will affect this thread - if GP ever changes his sig, all of his old messages will have their sigs changed too so this thread won't make any sense. I believe this is since/. does a realtime lookup rather than storing the sig in the message itself. )

Are they hoping enough OSS developers will read and work off these specs then cry patent violation?
Oh yes, I think I do remember that Biology class now.
As I recall it was just after my Chemistry class where I learned that glass is a liquid, causing window panes in old buildings to be thicker at the bottom than the top, and right before my Physics class, where we learned there's no such thing as centrifugal force.
I don't know, why don't they release it for the PS2, since it's more popular than all three aforementioned?
Hell, let's release it for the SNES too while we're at it.
... with a capital 'P'
Well I hope the plaintiffs will be ordered to cook eBay a hearty breakfast too.
That's right. These solar panels emit sunlight. And still have enough left over to power your hummer.
What a brilliant idea~
I got some spam a while ago that was "selling" islam.
And no, I didn't "buy" it.

Hail Ants!
And here I was about to start stockpiling neodymium hard drive magnets.
What the hell I will anyway - they're lots of fun.
This is just an incremental version update. For the licq client at least, it's a one-byte fix in /usr/bin/licq

I'm sorry, I don't quite get your point. Are you claiming drag racing doesn't waste gasoline?

Actual greenies you mean, not the pseudo-greenies that all the current militant ones seem to be, pushing hidden agendas and all.
Nuclear power bad, smacking kids bad, pot good.

Yes.
Most insightful post I've seen all day. Unfortunately I doubt the mods will see it that way.
Nah it's still in Beta.
