There was at least as much crap music in the 90s as there is now. And the 80s. And the 70s.
I have my theories, but I don't really know the reason for declining album sales, save that poor music isn't it. It appears the RIAA doesn't know the reason either.
Not any more it doesn't. That might have been true at some point when Washington et al were alive, but for a long time the government has derived all its powers from a huge military arm.
If you have ever purchased a Microsoft product, this is how they are using it - as leverage to further their position as a monopoly, stifling everyone else with dirty tactics. Is this how you want your money to be spent?
This is one reason they will never see any of my money. Nor should they see any of yours.
When my Core 2 Duo E4600 box draws 58 Watts at idle (80 when working hard), a 10W power saving is not insignificant.
Okay so it will only save about $15/year, but it also means the hard disk isn't going to get as hot, and we don't need to move as much air to keep the hard drive cool. That can't be too bad for hard drive longevity either.
Possibly, though I would still think it a poor choice for lighting instruments. Blue does not focus on the retina very well (requiring more time with eyes off the road to read), and IIRC stimulates rod cells in the eye, reducing night vision.
This is not your country. Never was, never will be.

No I'm not totalitarian; I strive for freedom as much as anyone else. Merely making an observation regarding the country you apparently reside in.
I don't live in fear, by the way. But distributing electronic devices depicting a character no one over 25 has ever seen, who is making a gesture of obscenity and defiance, is asking for trouble no matter where you live. Do you honestly believe talking meatball man didn't do it to get a reaction?
Of course every time something like this happens, it becomes more "normal", so the next "artist" has to come up with something more shocking to get the same amount of attention.
Six years ago people in my city struggled with the same issue when presented with new-fangled CF technology. Then power prices went up, CF technology improved and bulb prices came down.
Now everyone has them and incandescents are a novelty, not the norm.
No, no, and a hundred more times NO!

Boom tomorrow.
I read about that too - I had thought the measured Cholesterol was up slightly in 10% of the subjects or something.
Anyway, can't you just pass your french-pressed coffee through a paper filter and have the best of both worlds?
Call me old-fashioned, but I still buy CDs the traditional way, often second-hand then rip them with the help of MusicBrainz or Freedb.
The result: Several gigs of DRM-Free Ogg Vorbis bliss on an NFS server that I can play in any room whenever I want. Or play in my car, or my handheld.
I totally agree.
But please stop calling my office - your cheque's in the mail.
Hugs,
Steve B

Maybe he wants to actually see the flash content he's loading?

I support Gnash, but it's nowhere near ready for use. It really isn't.
Why would it need to be in a constitution to be true? It's just a f%*$ing piece of paper.
Does ISO really want to stop being taken seriously that badly?
I guess the slide towards irrelevancy will continue...
Spanky's Quest *smirk*, Frogger: Helmet Chaos *snigger*
What are these guys, like 13 or something?
I don't know about a Frenchman, but there was once a (nearly) flying Kiwi.
I don't know - it helps me feel better.
Heh, I see one of those screens has a Vista logo on it.
That's not the laptop I'll be using in 2015. Nor anyone else for that matter.

Well, SPSS v16, SAS, R and MATLAB all work under Linux.
I haz it.

This must be why, in recent years, I have felt increasingly alert upon entering my server room.
And here I was thinking all those PC, external hard drive, UPS and KVM (?!) makers were just being vindictive.
Uhh, what did you say you were holding up?

I thought someone might bring up the Boston talking milkshake party. Those silly sods deserved all the police attention they received.

I'll tell you about my mother
I coded one up years ago:
10 INPUT dummy$
20 PRINT "Why?"
30 GOTO 10
