Mouse and keyboard cords are good. Until they can come up with a cordless mouse that gets its power wirelessly instead of needing a stupid recharging station or batteries,
You play violin loud enough to cause hearing damage? Sorry but err, I was in band for seven years, and even sitting/standing directly infront of a full marching precusison line rocking HARD didn't make my ears ring for hours...
I find myself watching those videos and thinking "My car doesn't appear to yaw and pitch that badly when i drive, and driving in rush hour interstate traffic i make alot of those maneuvers"
Only explanation I can think is that the courses were driven alot faster than they appear, and then the video slowed down so you can see the effects more clearly.
Anyone else perhaps more learned in this area care to comment?
What is the point of innovation if it's at the expense of usability? You can make neat applications while still taking care they play nice and adhere to some expected rules of behavior (such as the installer points the original poster made)
Out of curiousity, where does she teach that cheating such as that isn't an instant fail (or ejection?) That's the case on my campus (University of north carolina at charlotte)
Considering it's Duke university I don't imagine there are a WHOLE lot of drunken parties on campus (Duke being arguably the poshest private school in the state)
I'm kindof digging the part where this notifyer takes a fraction of the memory and sits quietly in the corner until something happens.
Before I got this account i had about six POP and hotmail ones that various things were going to (school, work, personal, throw-away etc) but since i forwarded most of the worth reading things to gmail thats ALL I need to check, so firing up a full blown mail client is somewhat overkill (besides that gmail doesnt work with pop yet anyway) and I only turn on Thunderbird once every few days to check those other accounts to see if anything fell through the cracks
it appears to pop up an MSN-like notify in the bottom corner..at least it does when you click "tell me again" presumably that would show regardless of whether your taskbar is hidden or not
If no one's using it they don't need to increase it. Similar idea to broadband providers only having enough bandwith for a % of users to attain advertised rates at a time
The forums you get notifys from must have fairly identical subject lines...I get the same sort of thing from two or three forums and this hasn't happened yet.
I don't care if you're campaigning for the girlscouts, painting on public property is illegal.
Nothing wrong with a little vandalism is there?
It took me 2 months or so of using gmail before i got any invites. Then it was 1 one day, 4 more the next and (after i'd used two) another two
All playing Doom3 on Imax is going to do is shorten your lifespan by about 10 years. And soil a couple pairs of your trousers ;)

You want to microwave your hand or what?
You obviously don't know what "most people" means.

You are, of course, correct
However the original poster still has a point---"the greater good" is hard to stomach when you personally have bills to pay.

What the the reason to upgrade to ME from 98?
Ignorance, mostly. That or "it came with the new computer"
Anything runs fast if you put it on a fast enough computer.

Care to elaborate?
Very few soldiers who were actually in combat call war an opportunity for glory, even if they happened to hold that idea beforehand.
Just imagine the chaos and media attention that would cause.
Yeah. I can see the headlines
"Mass sacking of IT admins across Europe and Asia follows email havoc..."
You have the freedom to speak on public property. You have no freedom of speech on my land, in my house or on my phone. Or in my computer.
Let me repeat myself:
Free speech does not guarantee you the right to force yourself to be heard if I do not wish to.

My kitchen of tomorrow better have me a high-carb (and high fat) bacon eggs and toast going in the morning or i'm RMA'ing the damn thing

Breaking the law...
Filesharing is not civil disobedience. People do not do it openly inviting the consequences nor do they accept those when if or when they come.
