I have the exact same problem with my school Unix account too. I never even use the account and get more spam on it then any of the acocunts I actually use.

I have already tried googling for my domain on the web and nothing shows up. I'm interested, like you, to find out how this is happening. I hadn't thought of finger before, that's a good point.

Yes, but maybe our children are going to die a lot younger than we do, because of our actions. I'm not ashamed to say I care about that.

So hard work does nothing, eh? It's all luck and circumstance.

Where did he say that? He actually said "Luck, circumstance, and opportunity play huge roles in where you are." Huge roles being the keywords. As someone else who replied to you said, how about being hit by a hijacked airplane while sitting in your office? Or being born as a woman or slave in Sudan? Keep working hard, maybe you won't get beaten as badly.

We really shouldn't worry about things like this until we have to.

By the time we have to worry about it, we are all already dead. Not just those of us with cancer or AIDS. That's like saying you shouldn't worry about a computer virus until you get one. You shouldn't worry about security until your server is rooted. You shouldn't worry about your car until the engine seizes up.

I think they probably mean black box as in having layers of abstraction/encapsulation in your code. It's a good programming strategy, makes things much more maintainable and reusable. It's the basis of all object-orieted design.

The bank transfers $100 from YOUR account to their account from which it can be used by the bank to loan to other customers and earn interest (mortgage loans, auto loans, credit card loans, etc). So if it takes 2 months for you to use up the $100, you've "given" your capital to the bank to use for two months.

Huh? Do you think that currently when you have x dollars in YOUR bank account, the bank does not touch that money and keeps it safely secured for you? Or do they loan it out to other customers and earn interest? Of course the latter - that's how banks work!
