Dude, we're talking about a guy running Linux. No disrespect to you for your copy-pasted "motivational" post, but I just can't see Slashdotters running out in the streets to take a bullet for their right to prattle out shell scripts in bash while staring fawn-eyed at their anime desktops (granted, even though they MAY have multiple workspaces).
A lot of people whine and say L4D is crap in single player mode, but I like taking it at my own pace. If I want to dash straight for the safe room and to hell with my partners, I can. If I want to shoot them in the head, I can. If I want to stand in one spot and just wait for waves to spawn, I can.
But you can do all those things in multiplayer! You mean to suggest I've been doing it wrong?
It's amusing how you have to assume that I have limited experience to appease your own insecurities.
I've been using Windows 2000 for years. My present uptime is four months, and this is being used for development and gaming primarily. I have noticed no performance degredation, and my experiences have been the same on several other boxes as well.
I'm sorry that you haven't had such good luck, but all in all, Windows 2000 has worked great on average for myself and associates who I advise to use it.
I'll bite, but it's quite apparent you don't, or haven't used Windows. 2000 and newer of the Windows operating systems have NEVER crashed on me, installing drivers and in simple day to day operations.
Why don't you grow up and stop trying to whore karma just by flaming Windows with redundant lies?
Step transformers.. Voltage in disguise... Step transformers... Touch one and you'll die!
I spent my grade 10 computer engineering course coming up with that mockery of the Transformers theme. That, and eating skittles. Enjoy the fruits of my lack of labour.
A friend of mine is taking an English course online; all I hear about it from her is that they impose a tight schedule, lack a decent lesson on the material and the course has generally overly high expectations -- oh, and the majority of people taking the course have a much higher tendancy to cheat with their papers and reading assignments.
I'm probably going to take a karma hit for this, but having "Bad" karma; I can only go down burning further for being opinionated on this. I'm shocked you actually received a positive moderation for your comment; perhaps it is a day of honesty and nobility for those with moderation points *shrug*. I agree with you, the interfaces Microsoft turn out are crisp, clean and intuitive. What you see as window managers on X11 are quite ugly hacks in general (though don't get me wrong, I quite like WindowMaker; even over KDE/GNOME). The only other interfaces I have liked are Aqua on OS X, and the BeOS interface.
I don't know, I am really getting sick of these cases where you hear about the FBI busting in on some teenagers for stupidity with guns drawn. I mean, for christ sake, it'd be much more interesting to read that there was actually some value to doing this.
FBI busts in on house of teenagers for cable uncapping with guns drawn, attempt arrest but fail due to Browning M2 emplacements holding key areas of hall.
The Beowulf jokes, the profit jokes and the hot grits are really starting to enrage me deeply. I think we should unite and declare an official fatwa or jihad on these stupid jokes.
He might not dignify you with any replies, but I am here to merely give you my greatest riddicule. You should shut your fucking mouth about how great Mozilla is and how poor IE is. Fact: IE is faster. Fact: IE is embeddable. Fact: IE is for Windows, not Linux (sorry, only decent platforms supported), and Fact: Mozilla sucks arse for speed on all accounts. (Gecko isn't as quick as you think!)
I'm not trolling when I say "Why would they, and why should they?". It's their product, and they are free to disclose as much or as little of the technical information as they wish.
I bet the FBI is responsible for Smiley Central, too.
Say somethin'!

All thanks to President Obama.
Idiots?

I'm afraid you're seventeen days late.
Great stuff for the resume if you're looking to explore the burgeoning rocketry market in North Korea.
Welp, the DHS has it right. I always knew Slashdotters were full of shit; now I can pin it on the smell and call it a day.
Gentlemen.
Niggers smell horrid
They're thieves, drug dealers, and pimps
Where is my TV?

And in Soviet Russia... Pancakes screw up YOU!

You would include your .sig in a message to your younger self?
In Soviet Russia, up shuts the fuck the Soviet Russia trolls!
Please, do tell us more. Any links for your project? It sounds very interesting, even if it is on top of Linux.

Yes. Let's play global thermonuclear war.

It has come to my attention that a more likely series of events would be: 1. Post witless profit joke. 2. Get moderated down.
