One thing we have no problem with is breeding dogs and if priced right those that don't make the grade are easily adopted, helping to put some puppy mills out of business.
Ok, taking out of the equation the emotional responses of 'those bastards', but legally why wouldn't they? In fact, is it not now the responsibility of the buying company to aquire all debts so aren't they now directly on the hook for it? Aren't debts and liabilities part of what you buy as if they were assets that come along with the company?
What was annoying was not the information, but the presentation. Modify the wording to be along the lines of 'For those unfamiliar, blah blah blah' and the summary changes from demeaning/belittling to those unfamiliar, to informative. This is the sort of thing that keeps the nerd in the corner by himself at a party:)
If you assume that everyone knows what it means then why are you telling us what it means knowing damned well that probably 99% of the audience doesn't actually know what it means, or cares for that matter. It makes you come across demeaning to the vast majority of people who could give a crap.
You're ahead of the curve, for now. The only way your used games make it to GS is if someone buys it in the first place. As less people buy them new, less will appear as used, making them more in demand and raising their used price value. It took gta like 6 months before the used price in GS was cheaper than I could get it at Costco. You'll start to see this trend continue and extend.
Previous oleds (of which I have no idea how those compare to a standard bulb), or a standard bulb or ???? How does this compare to a standard 75w bulb?
Honest, its for a new propulsion system we are trying not to meet the power requirements for the super rail gun we are putting on our ships in case we need to shoot Decepticons from the top of a pyramid.
While I do joke, I do think this could be used as a test bed of some sort. Rail guns have been talked about before, and certainly laser technology has advanced. Just a thought.
A large business/corp usually has some sort of refresh schedule for machines. This is somewhere between 3-5 years. That means at most 33% of corps would even fall within the realm of having to make the decision. Realistically unless you are doing refreshes sometime after mid 2010 its not really an option. And anyone much later than that really has no need to make a decision yet. Here, we just started our refreshes, which means XP until the next round in 4 or so years. That's a long way of to commit to anything.
If it could reduce the number of cops running around with attitudes. In general our police forces have become way too big, and bored cops develope attitudes. Of course this likely won't happen and our taxes will go up to support this.
I guess the whole state isn't on the verge of bankruptcy. Or do they think they can reduce the size of their police force enough to make up the difference?
after 2 minutes of bastoff this sucker would normally be pretty damn high. The first stages are pretty much just drag chutes to ensure correct orientation. The next few stages are used to slow it down to a safe speed and/or altitude to deploy the final much larger chutes that might not be able to withstand deployment at a high speed/altitude. Another reason may be that they want to get these guys down as quickly as possible. Thus the drag shoots for control, and a few stages of chutes to slow down/land without putting their heads through their stomachs.
First off, obviously GPS units won't become exctinct. However you will see some major players go out of business as sales will shrink in a major way. Partly because people already have them, partly because of smart phones. Sure they aren't as good, but guess what, mp3s aren't as good as CDs either and how many people still use a sony discman rather than an mp3 player (and this transition started back when home ripped mp3s were horrible with hisses and tweets). Fact of the matter is that smart phones with GPS capability can only hurt stand alone GPS sales. And its going to hurt them a lot. Most only care about getting from point a to b and for as often as most people need them it doesn't even have to do so in the best fashion.
That's a nice excuse that conveniently diregards the fact that natural gas prices have plumeted. Remember that while I don't think he is completely being dishonest with his push for wind power, the real money maker in this whole deal was his push towards more natural gas production. This is where he makes his money and was willing to pay out for wind if it increases his gas profits enoough. Of course this all really simply ties back to "It's the economy, stupid" as this was the driver behind prices flooring.
The fact that he has to call other people to handle complex issues means that he is basically there to babysit the computers at night and change backup tapes. Why doesn't he do what most people do who work this shift and just sleep.
There is plenty of services and software available that handles this almost perfectly. Its 2009, do you think we can't handle a simple address to tax code translation? There are tons of databases that work off street address to tax, and some that even go address -> long/lat -> tax code.
It's not that big a deal and brick and morter businesses that ship have been doing it for ages. Why is it suddenly so difficult for online stores?
If you don't want to be stifled do what every other fringe artist does, open your own studio, peddle your stuff on the web, etc. There are plenty of outlets available for any artist to produce whatever they want. Of course the difference here is that the money stream it produces might not be there. Oh well, its all about the art anyway, right?
Once upon a time, when I was your age, we were able to go anywhere on the internet that we wanted. Then the websites realized they couldn't make any money that way and started packaging themselves together and selling access rights to ISPs just like cable tv does. And guess what? The websites made money, and people payed more money to the ISPs for access, and all the corporations rejoiced. Thus died the golden age of the internet which we now just call 'interactive cable'
No, they aren't open source. You have to buy it from them and are not allowed to distribute/sell your modifications and there are quite a few strings attached to receiving it. The source is simply a product deliverable.
It's similar to the free as in beer argument. Or maybe more accurately the coke dealer giving the first hit free knowing you'll come back for more services. Most consider Open Source an ideology, and SAP certainly does not drink that punch. They are all about generating revenue through providing services. Giving you the source when you buy it opens up the door for providing more services to the customer who now believes because they have the source its a good idea to bastardize it and make future upgrades next to impossible without spending tons of money.
They aren't shipping it to be nice. They are shipping because they make tons of money off of the consulting and training that is an offshoot of every business wanting to tweak it. It's all about miling the customer come upgrade time.
