Considering Jaguire has handwriting support built into the OS (on every version), I don't think it's a large leap to figure out what the next PowerBooks are going to look like:)
I don't know a graphic artist that has like the precision of any previous TabletPC models (yes this isn't the first TabletPC, sorry microsoft), unless they dramatically improved the imput resolution (and pen weight detection) I doubt these will be hits umoung the graphic artists either.
Heh thats funny, we pay 70k to our "MCSE", except he only has a MCP and knows about three times as much as any of the "MCSE" bragging techs that run around campuss.
For professional quality anything it takes a professional quality support man. I would hate to work for a company implimenting a 40 box citrix setup with a 35k "MCSE", in fact I might leave if a company tried to do that...
Phoenix runs circles around IE. With both browsers set to google IE6.0 takes 4.8 seconds (stopwatch) on my machine, Phoenix takes 2.1 seconds (stopwatch). Loading slashdot as default increased IE by almost a second, no noticable difference in Phoenix.
Unless your a developer or an emacs user you should probably give phoenix a try.
Isn't it funny that most professional dj's (the one person I would expect to demand perfection in music quality) store their music in an analog format?
I always found "digital copies are the best" argument slightly ackward, if not plain wrong. Unless you use a godawful filesize, it's almost impossible to encode every sound that an analog system can do mechanically.
With proper equipment, I would find it very hard to believe the copying of a "sound out" wire would lead to a significantly worse copy than the copying of a "digital out" wire. If it really did lead to such a worse copy, then it's only logical to assume the "sound out" itself is the problem.
The other falacy of this argument is the fact 99% of all piracy is done with significantly lower quality copies (eg 128bit mp3), if the "digital perfection" was such a huge threat wouldn't people use at least 196bit mp3?
I think the reason everyone read it as a troll is because you made lots of vauge accusations with no support that seemed silly but moving.
Just chalk it up to experience, we've all made an accidental troll in our lives. The only way to learn not to do it is to experience the pain yourself.
lacking hardware upgrades people won't upgrade the OS. One only has to look at apple during the 90's to see this in effect, very few people got anything but OEM copies of the OS, even when it would run perfectly fine on their hardware.
People get pissed off when you refuse to help then with windows but they know that you are compitent with MS software (I've even have them get mad in the rare situation where I actually didn't know offhand what was wrong). I only recomend this route to the very strong willed.
Did anyone else think WM+OSX when they saw those screen shots?
And don't they have "user interface designers" or somesuch there? Those colors are icky, not to mention all those differing window styles are confusing!
lol I have the same thing happen. The worst part of using a public terminal is middle clicking and going "Damn I have to right click move left click wait 3 seconds minimize".
I haven't seen it increase the total memory allocated on a windows box more than 5 megs at startup + 1meg a tab (I don't use multiple windows, so dono how they are).
If you have seen different results I'd love to hear them:)
Come on, once the Hurd is finished, GNU/Hurd will be years ahead of GNU/Linux, Windows NT, or Mac OSX
And all of those operating systems will be years ahead of themselves....
viZilla

I shall put sarcasm dislcaimer on all future jokes. My apologies.

a million teenagers calling her offices at 3pm...
I feel for the receptionist
The short answer is most drives can't send much more than 66mbit right now anyway.
The long answer is thats damn fast for a notebook, and if they put a higher rpm on there the spinup would cost twice as much battery.

Thats a good idea, shoot me an email if you ever start such a venture and I'll think about helping you :)

I don't get it?
This story breaks just 2 hours after my TiBook gets shiped...
I had to call native functions repeatedly in tight loops.
Hint: Your supposed to factor the entire loop out, not just the function calls.
try phoenix, it's about half the size of NS7 (I'm assuming you are talking about NS7, if it was NS6 then I will agree it sucked ass).
Seriously if you have tried phoenix mozilla1.2b ns7 and ie6 and you still prefer ie6, I would really like to know why.

(probably looked like a dork walking around running a constant ping on my thinkpad)

My neighbor got worried enough to poke their heads out and ask me what I was doing when I mapped my network range
It was... fun... explaining I was accessing the internet.

MSIE was the best browser 1999-2002, that's a long time to get ingrained.
nice troll
please think before you mod, thanks!

er word crashes about every other character above 50 pages if you have more than font changes for formating...
Not to mention the type behind of 10-15 characters at that length.
you say this is perfectly acceptable from a $300 word processor? I have a bridge to sell you...
