Microsoft have a powertoy for XP to provide you with multiple desktops. It's very pretty.

I trust them even less. Larry Ellison is so desperate to take over Bill Gates' position as Richest Software Mogul he's willing to go to great lengths to out-sleaze him. Plus he was pretty quick to jump on the National ID Card bandwagon a few years back.
What company pushing enterprise database systems wouldn't? That's a moot comment.
Why trust them less? They're huge and get press. That doesn't mean that the sleaze bags who run that company are any worse then the sleaze bags who run a company that get no press.
Sure, they can't snoop the traffic, but what's to stop them doing searches and finding users who have pirated music? It's the application not the transport.
Unless of course we start an underground group where you only get an encryption key if you give up your first born and pledge allegiance to der Fuhrer.

Blaster? This sounds more like Welchia/Nachi to me. Indicative of the ICMP traffic.
Cisco have released an excellent paper on setting up bitbuckets to match the 92 byte payload in the ICMP traffic on routers, switches, MSFC's etc here.
I was just about to post that. I think Slashdot need to re-evaluate their stance on site caching.
Before anyone chirps in with RTFR or whatever, surely more effort can be made in conjuction with the owners of the site to temporarily cache the site to illeviate the effects of being posted on Slashdot.
This not only will help keep web servers up, but also apparently not cost site owners an assload of money.
So how are they going to ground the one in orbit?
LOL
You've made my day
You sound surprised.
steve

PARAGRAPH motherfucker, do you speak it?
This is a pretty interesting idea, I only wish I worked.
I hardly think your employment status has anything to do with this product.
ok then great thanks for that
PGP support would be cool.
Maybe some client-side Java to read in your keys from your drive / USB key to decrypt mail?
You follow the link through to "NightSurf.com", the blurb on one of the results contains;
Looking for xfree86? I deliver, and I'm live right now.
Classic.
There usually is a point to a car that can fold/crumple well. It can mean the difference between a sore neck and a snapped one.
Ahh crap.
Way to make a dick of yourself on Slashdot #445:
NOT USE THE BLOODY PREVIEW BUTTON.
This is ludicrous, absolutely ridiculous. transcribe speech.mp3 > speech.txt I still have a few useless use of cat awards lying around. :)

Are you kidding?
I wont go into a flame/troll, but perl is not liked from some lower levels, and some high levels.
To assume that it will not do anything for -any- platform is just nonsense. It's proved it's worth anywhere where it matters, why wont it here?
Nuh. WordStar shat all over WordPerfect.

I'm more interested in knowing what clustering software they're using, and seeing some statistics from the sucker.
LOL.
Shit dude, you going for a record?
