I don't know how much this card will retail for and anyway it is MMC. I don't think the Zaurus takes MMC. Why not get a 12GB compact flash card? A snip at $14,999.
Compare this with radio. There are a lot of popular AM and LW radio stations here in the UK even though FM is a superior format. MP3 will be around for almost ever due to the popularity and level of takeup.
I think there is a bug in the web page. In Internet Explorer the frames render with bars as separators but in Mozilla Firefox the bars are replaced with balls. This isn't funny until you scroll down the end of the report to find unlike everyone else in the list Darl McBride only has one ball.
Cybiko's are dirt cheap these days. I've seen them for 5 quid each. USB, keyboard, very long battery life. Just what you want I think. Only 1MB of RAM in the standard model but that is a lot of typed text. Processor runs at a monster 11MHz (with a 4MHz co-processor).
From the Yahoo article "50 trillion calculations per second" and if the machine is to feature on the top500.org then from top500.org "the best performance on the Linpack benchmark is used as performance measure for ranking the computer systems."
Tip! Get the IP address of the ftp server before attempting the install! DNS isn't picked up on the SuSE boot/install CD.

I guess it isn't wicker based.

Use bittorrent! It has the weird effect that the more people using it the faster the downloads get.

Make sure your pacemaker is switched off on your next visit.

Never heard James T. Kirk put an entry in the clog.

Almost a Petabit though.
At least you don't require a keyboard and mouse any more though. Leave that to the Linux hackers eh?
Drat and double drat those typos. :-(
Hello. HELLO.
I'm writing on slashdot.SLASHDOT
Nah its rubbish
Where does the fine go? Spending it on Real player/Quicktime development might be poetic justice?
Or Ghostbusters?
I thought it was... Step 1 ) Collect underpants Step 2 ) ??? Step 3 ) Profit
The real story here is that reading a crystal ball = = slashdot news. :-(
I'm all for scientific experiments in space but why did this dummy get the face of Darl McBride? Did he upset someone?
How shocking!
Yea but the editor has been outsourced to India.
What do you expect?
Is this the KISS of death for GPL?
Why not just say 100,000?!??!
Will they be:
Professional hover-board racers?
Anti-gravity technicians?
Time-travel holiday sales people?
So this was a die to die for?
