    Factoring in the fact that a more leveled popularity exposes more people to more different types of music, making them more educated and therefore more useful in other fields.
    Therefore the lost revenues directly from the music sale is won back in overall "productivity" of those people...?

    I wonder what is harder to do:

    To search the answer to a query from a user or to run grep on the queries...
    (ok now they seem to be adding voice, which is harder to filter but still...)

    I would think that an Echelon like system wouldn't be very hard to implement if you centralize everything like google is doing right now...

    Not that they're doing that, but they could :)

    What we really need is p2p philosophy and encryption/privacy at every layer...We need to redistribute the net like it was originally intended...

    we need mesh networks so the net (at least locally) belongs to the people and we need freedom/freenet like network all around for every damn protocol...

    Let's make the net into something that is free of any censorship so we can all globally think together without having our thought controlled by bigCorp. Inc...
