Using a bluetooth headset is not a problem. WEARING one constantly like you think you are on the Enterprise is a sure sign that you need some special attention from a lumberjack.
'Carrying around an iPhone in Japan would make you look pretty lame.'
It doesn't do much for your reputation in the U.S. either...
I like to use the old Bluetooth headset analogy.
Old Techie: "You know how lumberjacks will sometimes put a big red X on trees?" Young Techie (who is wearing a bluetooth headset): "Like, yeah." O.T.: "That big red X is a sign to other lumberjacks that the tree bearing it needs to be culled from the population." Y.T.: "Culled. That's not really a word, is it?" O.T.: "The bluetooth headset is the human equivalent."
Techie: If you don't know how to do what I do, then if I have time I will teach you
This has been my experience. The great majority of tech people I have known are very willing to help non-techies learn about technology. Wow, that's a lot of tech words. Tech. Techy techie tech tech. And now I've gone mad again.
How about the fact that the Earth was moving (around the Sun) when the ejecta started to be pulled back? I don't believe it would take much of a shift at the Moon's distance to allow it to "fall" into orbit, but, then again, IANAA.
As long as people are working in the United States and paying IN to the Social Security system it will NEVER run out of money. The amount that each recipient can receive will just be decreased. That might mean each recipient only gets a few bucks a month, but it is still better than nothing.
If we could go back to taking care of our elders like in the past, this wouldn't be a problem. I have planned for the care of my parents should that situation arise, but I doubt many others have. It is truly a shame the way we treat senior citizens in this country.
I had an ID in 1998 but I stopped visiting the site for quite a while. When I came back I could not for the life of me remember what my username was, so I created a new one. I sure would like to have my old low id back. ~Mem - 0 - reeeezzzz.....light the corners of my mind....
I only type with my thumbs.
Wrong. No birth, no baptism, go to Limbo.
Nothing is as bad as Nickelback.

Just a heads up...
If you are going to search for Supercavitation images on the web, make sure "safe search" is on...

I like to mix metaphors/cliches/memes, too.
For example: If the Pope shits in the woods and no woman hears it am I still wrong?
Talk amongst yourselves...
No it wasn't.
Are NEOs abundant enough to do that?
I thought there could be only ONE NEO. Wait...that's Highlander, not the Matrix.
Dammit. I hate it when I get ridiculous movie plots confused.
What is the title of this?
Vermicious Knids are real!
You metric system users are part of the Rebel Alliance and are traitors!

Excellent point.
Thank you for a wonderful supper.
1 + 1 = 2 will be true in any universe, under any god(s), in any circumstances.
Only for sufficiently small values of 1.
I think it means "turn in your Geek card."

Sorry about that.
Just send an SMS.
Now the moon is going to fall out of the sky.
And I JUST GOT CABLE!
We have certainly come a long way when a Cornwallis supports freedom of the people. :)
And this is why all computers should have one of those alcohol interlocks like are installed on cars belonging to DUI convicts.
