  1. Re:Why not? on Microsoft Responds to IE Criticism · · Score: 1

This strategy of bundling this and that together is NOT going to work in the future. This worked so well in 1998-2000 because there were still plenty of people foreign to install.exe. So they use whatever comes out of the box.

Kids and their grandmothers are more tech-literate now. They will consider installing something else when the spyware and pornware gets out of hand.

1.) Macs does graphics apps better.
2.) Macs aren't easy to contaminate with viruses.
3.) Macs don't really have spyware and adware.

If the above is true, that's only 3 things Macs are superior than windows. Games, corporate apps, freeware choices, price.... unfortunately M$ still has the advantage.

  7. Re:Overpriced on More Classic NES Titles For GBA Announced · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Of course they are going to overcharge. Nintendo's last good console was SNES in the early 90s. They only have 1 GBA revenue stream to capitalize on nowadays. And don't be a Nintendo Fanboy and tell me they make their money from Cruisin USA arcades etc. Nintendo is on it's last leg... GBA.

  8. Missing Characters on Tekken 5 Arcade Debuts, Shows Off ALL.Net Networking · · Score: 1

Screw namco. They have got to figure out how to put all the Tekken characters in every sequel without losing a few and gaining a few.

Imagine buying a sports game, for every team you put in you lose a team. Fuck it. If the characters are not worthy enough to keep coming back, there must be something wrong with the character development.

  9. Boycott America's Army on The Political Games Surrounding Video Games · · Score: 1, Troll

The fact that the game always forces the enemy side to be terrorists should be enough reason to ban this game.

I can understand American Army vs. American Army from beginning to end. That's fine. WTF kind of properganda is that to make the enemy terrorists automatically. Boycott it. That's like making all enemies in Doom III republicans.

You people are all fooled by M$. They'd like you to believe that a monthly subscription is NECESSARY to maintain online gaming for any particular games. I am sorry but just cause Evercrack succeeded in the process, doesn't mean M$ has to follow it.

If you tell me $10 a month is needed so developers can maintain a server with new monsters monthly, then you're not giving me the option to play without paying. So many games like Enemy Territory has gone forever with hardly even a patch. Sports games especially. If I pay $10 a month, will M$ update my roster so I don't have to buy football games every year.
