OMG I am so worried on this. I buy all my sports games from Sega. They are just superior in comparison to EA sports games... who are extremely well marketed but seriously lack substance.
No joke, I have rented about 10 sports games in the past year combined to deserve the right to say this.
We need SCO-like tactics with guerilla-sueing in this industry.
1.) You make spyware, you get sued 2.) You use spyware, you get sued 3.) You profit $$$ from spyware, you get sued 4.) Your mom likes spyware, she gets sued
Come on now, where are the real answers to this spyware thing.
Well the 5 year study is still far better than the M$ commercial having 1 IT guy run the entire IT department because he now has one windows 2003 server replacing many win2k boxes. Then he claims to have saved the company $$$. At the same time M$ goes about saying they help create IT jobs. Wait... your 2003 server allows 1 person to run the IT department.
I am a little confused on this linux client thing. Supposedly Doom III will utilize insane directX 9 graphics, but then directX is windows exclusive??? So is openGL being used for the linux side?
Don't celebrate yet. It's going to have to top many online games out there to be a real competitor. Look at UT2004, there is 10 modes of play for example. Single player doesn't really sell... though in this case, this game has been hyped beyond all hell.
Despite all the hype... if this thing do hit the market.
I am comparing it with the Nokia Ncage.... which pretty much sums up to about 100 customers across the U.S. And maybe 20 more customers internationally.
Can't agree more. Real science is extremely extremely boring. I have fallen asleep in every science class at least once. And considering I am not even an X-files fan, I haven't fallen asleep on any episodes yet.
Running linux + vmware allows me to run windows within linux. I know some will say WINE and other emulators are more native etc etc.
But based on my experience, vmware is still by far the best emulation for running any windows apps on linux. Yes, that does defeat the purpose of emulation since you still need windows technically.
When a million people already own a PS2, what's the chance that they'd buy a second PS2? Of course they are going to buy a "new" console... xbox or gamecube. So it doesn't surprise me that xbox sales will eventually outpace PS2 sales for a couple months.
I am just confused by the state redhat is in over fedora.
One day no one in redhat gives a damn about their free distro, wanting to put all the focus on advanced $erver. The next day they want to hit deep in the community again.
Seeing how every drive in the market is IDE, plextor in theory can once again capture all of the market's SCSI needs. But they haven't released one DVD drive on SCSI. I am amazed.
It's a conspiracy, EA gets player X on the cover of madden. Player X somehow gets hurt, and his schedule becomes wide open... making him more available to more advertisments, events and interviews.
Pro athletes do more commercials during the off-season and injury time than any other time of the year.
If ATI can figure out how to get a superfan/cooling device installed on every ATI graphics card, I'd buy from them again.
Until then, my Radeon 9800 pro experience has been a complete disaster. Compared to other Geforce cards I have owned... no heating problem... no driver problem.
Sony is unanimous for outstanding 2nd and 3rd generation games that eat competitors alive. Their playstation 1 and 2 IMHO had lousy 1st generation games.
Following that trend, PSP will probably be so-so in its first 6 months.
Why does this have to be geeks. Can it be a regular joe wanting food delivered to the front door?
From my understanding not all geeks are fat. In fact geeks most make stick figures look fat.
What is all this complain about today's games sucks? People posting here are obsessed with lame ass platform games. No one plays that anymore.
Try dropping Gran Turismo 4 and go back to NES rad racer. People always bring up some puzzle game like tetris to compare the ENTIRE gaming industry.
I am sure I can't sit thru tetris for an hour, but I'll sit thru wolfenstein for 8 hrs straight.

I don't care if Tekken 5 is coming out. Tekken 4 blows, and 5 is on the same track if the article's right.
Let's bring back every damn character ever in a Tekken game. We should keep on accumulating, not lose a couple characters on every sequel.
I am glad the PSone is still selling like hot cakes. If it was Xbox controllers selling 70 million units, the earth would have ran out of materials.

If the performance lives up to the hype on PC hardware, then this has to be the end of Mac hardware... which are $$$$$.
Of course there's no such thing as perfect emulators though vmware comes pretty damn close.
Seriously has anyone really played games aggressively on a laptop? When I need that high-power graphics, it's all desktop.

The REAL conspiracy is IBM pushing linux forward half ass, just so they can preserve AIX.
They are going to sell a linux box here and there and make the linux world a go-go. Then confused marketing, law suits and tech drama will follow.
Despite all the hype... if this thing do hit the market.

Analysts who didn't see this coming are on crack.

Well, I guess we WILL get to see a $10 million missile fired at a $10 tent protected by another $10 million laser.
In the end the guy with the explosive beatup mercedes still wins.

1000 games on display, 900 of them are just sequels. It's becoming super obvious with the contents of E3.
Metal Gear games, doom III, and HL2 will wow the crowd with its graphics. They should just call it electronic graphics expo.
I am pretty sure MSDN version of windows XP don't have activation keys and such. Does that mean they can't upgrade?
