If you're going to promote team sport, at least do it right.
Get a couple PCs on a LAN on the gym floor with wolfenstein enemy territory or something. Nothing like having your secret admirer take a bullet for you. The losers have to do 200 pushups... there you go.
Every person I know with a cisco certification is a god with the switches and can't do much else. It's the same for every M$ cert I know. They fumble with unix boxes. Even when asked to perform other tasks, they are just too narrowly locked-in.
Versus the college students and seasoned veterans I have seen, they seem to be much more mobile jumping topics to topics.
This is just my observation having been in and out of multiple companies now. It seems real consistent considering I am not do any official surveys or anything.
Real teachers can use this typing game to teach real students how to really type.
That's about how exciting this game sounds. Most people don't experience more than 1 flood disaster in their entire life time. Do we really need a game in the market to prepare us for this?
Ok every year there are some new protection schemes released. Safedisc v1, v2 etc etc...
This FBI sticker thing is just plain weak. RIAA needs to go back to the copy/read-protection strategy. Don't threaten the public with these lame tricks when you don't even have enough room in jail for all of us.
I think programmers who have truely contributed to open source should be the only ones with real saying about the direction of open source.
What really really worries me is just the number of non technical people pushing this thing around... executives, lawyers, managment, marketers... this list goes on.
The article makes it sound like apple was handicapped when in debt.
The financial picture at any corporate level is so much more complicated than debits and credits. Amazon was in debt for the longest time, when they became profitable you didn't see any slashdot article.
This is another example of apple fanatics trying to dig up any good news. GOOOOO LINUXXXX...
I'd been looking for 1 rom which NOBODY EVER has, ever heard of "laser ghost". You have a laser gun, it's a shoot-em-up like "operation wolf" or "terminator".
If this site can gather up some extremely rare roms, I'd be more than happy to shell out $$$. Until then, it's just selling old pacman and galaga.
Linux gaming is like the last car to qualify for the race, the ground needed to catch up is so grand... there is no way in hell it'll ever come in first. The best drivers are still up against the odds.
SCO spend too much time shooting with all the wrong ammo.
In a couple years this be like the browser war. There will be a stack of papers through the roof and no one really cares anymore. SCO will be down the drain, and IBM/linux even M$ will all look like good guys.
I can't imagine sending voice with any network game I play already.
To send voice & video conferencing image during the game would just grind everything to hell.
Did people forget that U.S. broadband is no where close to 100Mbps.
I know of one person who received such a check. If I heard it right... this person tried to cash the check and it bounced.

So when's MS windows for xbox coming out?
Let's be honest about it, that's where they are going to end up anyways.

How can you group fighting games, RPG, sports, action and everything else in between with one pool of good games.
Not to mention the different age groups.
Now people can send out flower and pollens SPAM and have the whole office sneezing.
"Buy our product because you'll be allergy free"
I knew someone who was an actual grad student from MIT. According to this individual more than 98% of the inventions NEVER see the consumer markets.
I don't think this is limited to MIT. Alot of schools end up OWNING your invention since it was innovated on college campus.
As a result... the student often have a choice. Either get the school rich or nobody get rich.
Games companies nowadays scan movie actor/actresses faces, I don't know what's to complain about... they look almost identical to real life.
Back in the 8 bit days when every movie star was just a square block... that's when they should be bitching. Not now.
I think the legal troubles with Napster that's forever ongoing would scare anyone away.
They say this and that case is settled, but it's BS. You know those damn lawyers keep spawning like bacteria.
There is this game where you can simulate typing.
Real teachers can use this typing game to teach real students how to really type.
That's about how exciting this game sounds. Most people don't experience more than 1 flood disaster in their entire life time. Do we really need a game in the market to prepare us for this?

I don't know why people complain about email spam. It's still a thousand times better than real junk mail in your house mailbox.
-Do you need a new credit card
-You have won 1 million dollars
-Missing child, help donate
-Important please open: Do you need a new credit card
At least email spam is creative.

The article was outstanding, except it labeled PS2 as the best system of all time.
PS2 is the best system today but it hasn't destroyed its competitor the way NES did. Xbox and GC are still standing.
IMHO NES 8-bit is forever the most dominant monopoly the video game industry will ever see.
All these corruptions and political BS is going to abuse our scientific and military strength.
It's almost inevitable that history repeats itself. US is on track to crash and burn like the Roman Empire.

Yes I can finally do the Chocobo dance in public and not be laughed at.
It looks like Moonwalk + Macarena + I am too sexy by Right said Fred.

I am surprised no historians have dug up Roman Empire artifacts saying their violence came from playing too much video games.
The rating system is completely lame. My local news has more violence, sex and tobacco use.

Marketer: Hi we are a nonprofit agency.
Guy at home: Sorry, I am on the do-no-call list
Marketer: Yes, but we have an exceptional product which you might be interested in, in exchange for your donation.
Guy at home: How the hell can you be nonprofit and sell shit at the same time?
These people have obviously never seen games like Final Fantasy where you'll probably kill a thousand wolves just to gain one level.
