    No, they shouldn't charge you. This is bullshit. When you buy a coke can, you get a couple cents for recycling. Why should you be punished with a $10 fee when you are the one to care for the environment? If the industry really gives a fuck, they can start building biodegradable motherboards.

    We don't need every chipset to change slot types every year. Do something more creative with engineering. I'd like to see my Pentium I board become Pentium 5 without new boards.

    This is the biggest government scam. If Coke can replace glass green bottles with cans, so can hardware manufacturers. You can't tell me people who designed coke cans are smarter than people who design computers.

    MLB - A debate-able 3rd rank in sports games sales.

    Civilization franchises - Didn't this live in the Sims shadow.

    Elder Scrolls IV Morrowind - The original was never big enough to top final fantasy series.

    Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth - Don't know much about. Probably can't aim at the masses?

    Only problem with the iPod is the battery. Which is virtually dead in a year if you don't recharge at will. Headphones and sound was never an issue. Accessories I'd blame Griffith technology first.

    I am shocked. This guy does not belong in the same league as Shigeru Miyamoto and the rest. The fact that he's even associated with Electronic Arts just destroyed this award.

    The engineers who pioneered scaling, rotation and Mode 7 made 100x more contribution than this fucker in 1991. He didn't innovate in business or engineering.

    I have a 5.1 Dolby/DTS setup sound system with gauge-16 monster cables hooked to a Onkyo receiver.

    I have tried to spend $$$ on all these Soundblaster audigy etc on the PC, and nothing even rivals my living room 5.1 Dolby/DTS setup. Don't get me wrong, things sound good on the PC, just not insane.

    Are u kidding me. You are using a website page hit as a metric to see if anyone uses mandrake. They could have downloaded it anywhere. There is no way to really measure whether some kid's bedroom secondary PC is running mandrake or redhat.

    (1) Use their own hardware, and make no money off it.

    (2) Don't use their own hardware, and hire more developers to support infinite combinations of non-proprietory hardware.

    Why the hell do we need another organization to promote open source. This is getting out of hand. Everyone is trying to be a chairman, CEO, head of board, so they start these unnecessary organizations.

    How many foundations, consortiums, non-profit organizations we do need?! If you entity don't set financial, technical or legal standards, it's probably not really needed.

    It must play games to be a home OS. You are paying so much for a hardware and OS that has literally just 40 games in its gaming library. Windows does this better.

    It must scale well to be a server OS. Any linux will make a better server box than mac OS. Linux does this better.

    So Mac is stuck smack in the middle in limbo.

    NO way. The java handling in firefox is mediocre at best. A java applet runs faster on IE still. Not to mention IE will run the applet, infect your PC and format your drive all at the same time.

    It's so unfair to compare PHP with Perl, C, C++. They are so disimilar, it's like comparing oranges and plastic.

    ASP is the only language worth comparing with PHP since they serve the same function.
