2004 brought some of the buggiest games (on PC and PS2) I have ever seen. It's not just EA though, that's the sad part.
Specifically yhe graphics card industry ATI and Nvidia need to take some responsibility. Their video cards are never available in stores. It's like they still don't know how to manufacture. Buggy drivers one after another. Overheated cards.
I got no problem with anyone changing career paths. I just have a problem with people responsible for laying off THOUSANDS of employees to save money. Then turn around and receive a $8 million severance package.

Most administrators already have effective methods of managing their logs. They crontab the hell out of it.
It's obviously bad. No employee enjoying the proper treatment from their employer would waste time writing blogs.
If it's good comments, Google PR would have widely marketed the hell out of it. Google is not stupid. Though I am glad to be using the better search engine http://vivisimo.com/ anyways.
Like that japanese translated show MXC on spikeTV, I'll dub all the characters voice. It'll be the best commentary when I make every match "telephone workers vs. circle jerkers".
Perhaps it's worth mentioning since they are integrating an app into the kernel. At least that's what it sounds like. Well if you wonder why kernels seem to get more and more bloated...
Does that mean only the U.S version now will be forced to rely on steam? So we get screwed and have to remain connected to this service while everyone else doesn't.
I own a PS2, and I can admit the hardware was just weak engineering. There was so much emphasis on the new "emotional engine" during launch that this feature is virtually unused today.
Then there is the lousy DVD drive. I went thru 2 playstations already cause of malfunctional drives. No, I don't mod or do anything. I just game all day. RE4 doesn't port, no surprise at all.
Well I am just too concerned now. Eversince I switched to firefox, web browsing has been near perfect. But for spyware writers to care, wouldn't the browser need a market share of 50% or more.
The thing I don't understand from Intel or AMD is why are they putting so much effort into designing and manufacture so many chipsets and cache changes for minimal performance increase.
Whatever happen to just simple gradual mhz improvement. 30mhz to 40mhz to 100mhz to 500mhz works for any consumer. Both companies are just a marketing mess now.
No need to argue here. You are getting stressed out over a city that renamed their Washington Bullets basketball team to Washington Wizards in fear of gangsters.
Don't worry if M$ is keeping close watch on the script, the story line will have major flaws. Such as characters changing sex by accident. Plot leaving holes. Blue screens in the middle of the film for no apparent reason.
The concept is simple. Let's say circuit city asks Sony to make 100 units. Keeping the math simple, it may cost them $50 to make in 2004. If they wait till 2005 to manufacture again, it may only cost $48. Parts become cheaper over time. A manufacture engineer actually told me this.
If you can get top 70% of the top windows game ported to linux successfully, I'd say linux gaming is for real. Until then, Doom III makes up 1% of the entire gaming library.
Don't give those crusty executives at the RIAA any new ideas. You know they get all their IQ from reading slashdot. If we didn't mention napster, they'd still be clueless about p2p.
Have you ever used redhat? If so for how long?
This simple question is definitely a double edge sword.

I do agree that most apps and games don't really feel that much faster.
Compare a game at Pentium I 100mhz and a Pentium II 200mhz, there is a massive difference. That's off by just 100mhz.
Compare a game at Pentium IV 1.4ghz and a Pentium IV 2.0ghz, there is hardly any difference. That's off by 600mhz.
The industry is obsessed with number crunching and generic software number benchmarking. Which is a bad measurement altogether.

Pfff, it wouldn't surprise me if all the weapons our soldiers use in Iraq say "made in China".

I see more violence on the news. And didn't 90% of the things that happened in Grand Theft Auto san andreas happened in the 90s snoop dog era anyways.
The government doesn't accept it as a game, but accept it as reality. WTF?!
Damn they original xbox controllers were already 2x the size of my hands. And I have giant hands.

Hey man you mind as well claim #windows and call yourself Bi11G@t3$.
Of all the places I'd been in Canada, Toronto is the place to be. Anyways snow is the only real problem.

If you even attempt to use it, it just sucks up system resources like crazy. But what am I saying, so does spyware programs, virus scanners etc.
Basically windows will be good when Symantec and McAfee can close shop.

Nintendo didn't fuck up on the gamecube in this generation. They fucked up way before with the N64.
That company is like an old japanese cult refusing to change with the times.

Come on, the FBI is like Don King. Believe half of what they say at best.
