Take A, the amount you'll probably win from a lawsuit.
Times B, the probable rate of success,
Times C, the percent loss of viewers.

If AxBxC = more than the cost of a lawsuit, we don't do one.

'Are there a lot of these kinds of lawsuits'

    You wouldn't believe.

'And which Network do you work for?'

    A major one.

  4. Supposed to be funny... on Ohio Charges AOL, Compuserve With Deception · · Score: 1

This was a joke. AOL is actually AOL-Time Warner. But I'm being sarcastic in the fact that the company as a whole would inflict revenge on the state, and pointing out that fighting one corporation nowadays means fighting multiple corporations.

  13. Re:I Hate The RIAA's Action As Much As Anyone Here on RIAA Threatens More Music-Lovers · · Score: 1

You have a good point, but there really isn't anything negative about the term 'music-lover' like there is with 'anti-american.' Moreover 'lover' itself is such a broad term, the author's logic likely assumed that someone who takes the effort to download music will like have an affinity for it.

Of course, this is neither here nor there.

    Hey look, free music! ...
