  1. Impartiality on Microsoft Introduces Competition For Google News · · Score: 4, Insightful

I wonder if they will be as impartial as the Google news generator. The first two "most popular" articles on their service are the same one: Microsoft Tests Web News Service

  2. AIM has "Warn" on "Spim" is Latest Online Annoyance · · Score: 4, Insightful

Could this problem be solved with use of the "Warn" feature? Spimmers could change their screen name and keep spimming, but the warn feature could be changed to warn an IP? If it already does, just warn the spimmers and they won't be able to send out messages nearly as massively as email spammers.

In his most recent book, he has long winded rants about the shrinking of the space available for comics. This quote was an example he hated of "throwaway gags" that are put into the first two frames of comics that can't have anything to do with the rest of the comic, because some of the newspapers wont allow room for these first two panels.

IM, with some practice, has become my favorite means of communication. You need to learn how to word things so they convey your meaning, i.e. lay off the sarcasm and word things nicely. With IM, I enjoy being able to read what people tell me until I fully comprehend it and never have to ask anyone to repeat things. I also like the ability to talk to several people at once.

Schools have many different accounts set up to fund many different things. This is due to how donors donate money and specify that they want it to go toward a certian project or department. They fight anyway, but you know neither will get destroyed, whether its Terminators or Neo fighting Agent Smith. What's the point of it if neither will win? 19. Re:Why on Will Microsoft Subsidize WinXP For Lindows Buyers? · · Score: 1

This will not suck any money from Microsoft. They are selling a copy of Windows that they otherwise would not have sold and are still making a profit. For each of these they sell they are making more money than if they had not sold them because the physical copy of windows is probably costing them $9 or so (my guess, not backed up with evidence) to copy and ship. Unlike the Xbox which costs them significant money to produce and they *lose* money on each sale until games are bought.
