    A 1.2-meter female-type counterpart, PGR, will take care of customers by showing fun video clips to waiting clients on a built-in monitor.

    Ok...I'd have the 1.2meter female robot "take care of" me, please. Oh, just wondering: is her head flat so I can set my beer down while I watch her fun videos? She wouldn't be a distant cousin of a Real Doll, by any chance?

    There was a catastrophic failure of the dykes back in the early 1900's, IIRC.

    What happened? Did the dykes all pull their fingers out of the real dikes at the same time and cause flooding?

    It occurs to me that someone who posts on /. should be of high enough inteligence not to need a spellchecker.....and in any case, doesn't anyone proof read what they write anymore?

    A.G. Russell sells them. Years ago, you could get the "regular" fiber ones, but in past years, the CIA or some such agency encouraged the manufacturer to add a few metallic fibers--just enough to set off a metal detector. They mentioned this in their catalogs a few years back; the note was removed in later issues.

    Here's a quote from their site:

    Actually, I think you are typing faster than TFA said " It is amazing how slow typers almost double their speed and quick typers become blazing fast!"

    Speed up and add the "-ly" and you're typing fast enough to burn off your own keycaps.

    Isn't transformer oil full of carcinogenic PCBs? ( polychlorinated biphenyl--not good stuff to be around.

    1. Ineffective--the pilots are already blind from previous tests.
    2. Why are airlines letting blind pilots fly anyway? Some ADA rule? Like the drive-up ATMs with braille instructions?

    They tried doing this, and let's just say it took a LOT of balloons to get a young girl even neutrally buoyant.

    But Pamela Sue Anderson and Anna Nicole Smith only needed four between them for a heckuva lot more buoyancy! (and if I was between them, I sure wouldn't be neutrally buoyant).

    Even better...look for the ghostly legless, floating student with the red backpack. He seems to melt into the brick road.

    Start on the right side, follow the wide diagonal greenery halfway up, go right to into the narrow parking lot (past red car to end of lot), zoom for the round blue bicycle-crossing sign on this side of the brick road. To the right of the thin fir trees and blue round sign, you'll see the "ghost".

    There's another artifact-human further to the right, which may be the same guy, frozen earlier in time.
