Born and raised knowing that one day, when the person you were cloned from, who smokes, eats fatty foods excessively, and never exercises, dies, that you will have to give up your heart, eyes, lungs etc, just so the person will live...

Two many issues were this would not be acceptable.. If you did clone yourself at birth for organs, then you damn well better not let the general public find out.

As for the pigs (trying to stay on topic), Seems that PETA will have a feel day with this, although if we eventually find a way to make synthetic hearts and make artificial hearts that last more than a year or two, then using pigs would not be so bad.

In conclusion, this issue of using animals for human benefit is a hard issue to deal with, but we can't ignore the research that one day may save thousands of lives.

Here's A Quote from a FAQ on the game:

"Legend Of the Red Dragon (LORD) has been a mainstay of regular BBSs for many years now and is still one of the more popular doors on Telnet BBSs.

Ok, that out of the way, it's time to to start talking about L.O.R.D. LORD is a BBS Door game with a medievel Role Playing Game theme. You probably knew that already. The usual goal behind playing LORD is to reach level 12 and kill the red dragon. Once you've killed the dragon you can go back and do it all over again or hang out at lower levels and really frustrate people! More on that later.

You advance levels by gaining experience points and then challenging your "master" to a fight (and winning). You can gain experience points by fighting monsters and other players, both online and offline, killing other players in self defense, and through various other methods. Once you get to level 12 you can Search for the red dragon and try to kill him, good luck!

Along the way to level 12 you'll be able to earn gold to buy better weapons and armor, meet and rescue fair maidens, speak with monsters both friendly and otherwise and find gems. Though the goal of LORD may be simple enough, there are lots of surprises that can pop up and there are a number of hidden keys on the various menus.

Now that I've given you a basic overview of LORD, the rest of this document will be organized by menus. As I get to the various menus I'll first list the menu including hidden keys, and then explain the functions in more detail. After this you'll find a "misc" section which contains material that doesn't fit in elsewhere. Because of the menu based organization of this FAQ, if you read it from beginning to end some things may not make sense at first but will become clear when some details are explained later.

Dude, Dell is seriously between a rock in a hard place on this issue. The economy being what it is, Dell has to do whats best for the company and Microsoft isn't exactly playing fair. The bad part is that the consumer is the one paying the price. The way I see it, dell had 2 choices, and only 1 of those choices had them coming out unscathed:

Choice 1: Tell Microsoft no. Hmmm, dell's got money, but can it really afford to go up against years of litigation against Microsoft(who, last time we checked, had 40 billion to piss away) While Microsoft has literally hundreds of ways to make Dell's life a lot harder.

Choice 2: Go along with Microsoft. You still have the server business, microsoft likes you more, and you can still sell linux, just no computers with out operating systems.

These choices maybe seen as black and white, but lets face it, There is no black in white, only green.

I was going to download a demo for a game that was on gamespot.com. Problem was, I couldn't seem to get the link to work with my computer. It was like 50 megs, and I had never heard of the game before (*just to let you know, it was dungeon siege) Not wanting to use a huge bloated commercial server that everyone else was using (*I was getting about .1k a second) and still wanted to play the demo while at a friends house, I used KAZAA to find the game. It only took about 5 seconds for the demo (* I dont think the game was out yet) found a person with a bandwidth of 420kbs. I finished downloading in like 2-3 minutes, after receiving a message from the person I was downloading from. (*He said the game was awesome) I immediately jumped into the game and found that maybe this file-sharing thing could be used for good as well as evil.

As for your logic, I could say that roads are the root (*or route :)) of all evil, with drug smuggling, police chases, pollution, car accidents. Eventually this will seem to be normal, as the public perception of KAZAA and broadband calms down.
