    I think the Official Playstation Magazine coverdisks sometimes had Yaroze-developed games. Also I think Devil Dice (Xi in Jpn) started out as a Yaroze game.

    There's definitely demos out for PSX.

    I'm not sure it's fair to hold Microsoft responible for making possible the actions of a malicious hacker. Is it Honda's fault a slimjim opens the door of my Civic?

    It may depend on how easy it would be to prevent a slimjim from working, and if they're informed of the "defect." I'm not a products liability lawyer but you might argue if it was reasonably easy to design cars so slimjims don't work, then car manufacturers should be liable for not changing their designs. Or at the least put warning stickers on the cars.

    Actually now that I think of it, I guess a car thief's actions would be a supersceding action that would break the causal chain, or something.

    Just remind the locals that GM owns Saab.

    Don't Apple products tend to have a smaller form factor compared to similar devices? What's more conspicuous, a huge-ass computer case or MP3 player, or a small one?

    I agree with your general point (at least for why I don't have any broadband connection) but shouldn't you be getting a cable modem/tv package deal?

    - If you had the screen adjusted in a low position (because of your seating position, setup or whatever), wouldn't you have to move the screen up every time you want to change disks in the drive?

    That sounds easier than what I have to do to change disks with my mini-tower PC located on the floor beneath my desk. Its set far back down there so I don't keep kicking it, so I have to bend down so my head is under the desk in order for me to reach the drive.

    There's not enough room on the desk for me to put it on top.

    As a copyright/trademark lawyer, I'm hoping the courts make the right decision and force Lindows into a name change.

    Why would you hope for such a thing, unless MS were your client? Certainly they could settle the matter without taking up the court's time.

    The name is not "Windows" but "Lindows" which gives the impression that it's not Windows but somehow connected to Windows.

    Well, I guess Lindows will not be asking you to testify for them. The 'connected to Windows' part is the problem. That might be a tm violation. Lindows might be able to make a 'parody' argument, though.

    to find bootlegs. If you're in the US, I've seen Adobe Photoshop and other bootlegs being sold on sidewalks in Manhattan.

    Anyway, I'd say the lack of the rule of law in China is a bad thing, regardless of whether Microsoft 'deserves it.' I'd rather the government protect the civil rights of people there, even if it means some software costs more.

    They would probably rebroadcast the 3-hr primetime schedule immediately afterwards, to hit the West Coast time zone, like I believe TLC does. And at least 12 hours would be "Paid Programming". The Retro Gaming show should be on later. The kids coming home from school would have no idea what they were talking about, and the people that do (hopefully) are at work.

    Sounds like you're a Boston Metro area customer too, my cable was called Comcast Cablevision, then MediaOne, then AT&T, now Comcast again? We can't get cable modem service though.

    I believe the T is a subway in Cambridge too (Red Line). I've only taken it as far as Harvard Square though.

    The Green Line(s) runs as a trolley, going past Fenway, BU, my apartment, and out to BC.

    brighthand.com also has a review of the new Casio e-200. Generally they liked the new model, but thougth the new look, which resembles the iPaq I think, is less attractive than other Casios, like the e-500, which had more of a gameboy-style button arrangement.
