2: the operations or concerns of the government of a country
Most of the comercials are for CBC programs. CBC costs Canadian tax payers 1 billion a year. My point was that it cost far too much and should offset its costs with comercials. Not my money.
Ummm. No comercials = No advertising revenue. Which means more of my tax dollars are going to support a station that no one listens to or watches (with the exception of Hockey night in Canada, and Making the Cut).
The Sony store at bayshore is the only electronics shop I can walk into spend 20 minutes looking at things without being approached by a sales person. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I like not being bothered by salespeople. I can go in do my research and buy a product at another store (like Bleeker) where service is better, and prices are lower.
Labatt Blue offered free calls in Ontario this summer using VOIP services from Onlinetel.
I signed up to save the cost of calling across the city of Ottawa. I live in the west end of the city and my parents in the east, only 20 KM away and long distance. Anyway the quality is fantastic and saved me a bundle. The offer is ending November 1st, but they now have a calling plan that will cost $20 a year in for calls in Ontario.
The way the Blueline service worked is you call a local access number (listen to an ad)enter the number you want to call they transfer it using VOIP to another station that is local to the person you are calling.
If your in Ottawa you have to see this. It was decomissioned in the 90's and is now a museum.
The four level underground bunker would have housed government leaders, Gold, a radio station, and more in the event that we were ever attacked with nuclear weapons. Check the site out it is very cool. I don't know anywhere elese you would be able to tour something similar.
I had the same problem. First year of office work I balloned to 205 pounds. Not the best weight for a guy that is 5'11. I started eating breakfast, and taking the stairs, I also took up the sport of squash on lunch hours. I am now down to 185.
(in a "my co-workers don't have it installed" kind of way) Save your documents in word format... (it puts about 63,000 little icons in the system tray. yuck.) Don't install D.A.D. (Desktop Application Director) or uninstall it...
That's just the problem. I used to work support for a couple of the free ISP's. We did not suffer from a lack of users the problem was the advertising market dried up. Can you imagine how much it cost to give support to users who didn't want to pay for internet access. My favourite memory is taking a call from an irate customer who threatened to cancel his free account.:-)
Pffft phone book. Open up the HHGTTG I think it is the entry under the Vatican.
I couldn't agree more. I could not watch the whole video it made me sick.
Now they will have robots to do their surendering.
OK everyone pass it along at exacty 2:30 everyone start clapping!
Use WordPerfect. It saves to .doc and pdf. You can even change the UI to emulate the Word interface. Plus you will get support when you need it.

Yes. But that would be my choice. It is my money to spend how I choose. Pretty simple.

I got better things to do then answer a billion pointless questions.
But lots of time to post your rant on Slashdot.....

Can I Burn it to a standard audio CD? If so could I just rip the songs off that CD into .mp3 files?
If I can do that I will use the service. Beats the hell out of paying upwards of $20.00(CDN) for a CD from the store.
Of course I would only buy CD's where more than one of the songs is actually good.

A very good Windows port of Gkrellm.

OOOPS. I mean a double sided disk.... :(
Two different disks are available. Fullscreen and widescreen. Why couldn't they put them both on a single sided disk?
+2 for using a sig from one of the Dead Milkmen's song.
