On a sidenote: everyone with a cellphone should get together and ban the use of SMS untill the carriers lowered prices to at least 1/10. But that's never gonna happen.
Why not? It's not like people need SMS, we got cable companies to lower prices this waOHSHI~
This is slashdot, so sweeping generalizations are to be expected, but that's just silly. Even when solid state amps were new they were used on records, and they've certainly come a long way since then. The Roland Jazz Chorus is one of the best amps ever made and it's not tube. These days, a lot of people record with a small SS practice amp or just direct-in. Then apply effects in the box or re-amp the signal through different rigs to see what they can get. If it sounds good, it sounds good; it doesn't have to be, and sure as hell isn't required to be, tube.
While I wish they'd get back to the almost-progy sound and feel of the first three[two] albums, I thought Angel was a great showing. Easily the best "comeback" album I've heard.
The trick is going to a butcher/smokehouse and not the local grocery. "Streaky" bacon (britons? call it that) is tasty but it's nothing like bacon bacon.
For gas station joe, everything after the first cup sold is profit. I'm sure the big chains have much higher numbers. Besides, many folks don't go buy coffee, they go buy Dunkin Donuts(tm) coffee. Can't do much undercutting when you're not selling the same product.
Corn lobby is pretty big, they're probably worried about people trying to avoid HFCS and started looking for other revenue streams. I'm extremely confused why this is at all an issue. The Big Three all have current diesel tech or connections with companies with diesel engines. Japanese and European manufacturers almost universally offer diesels outside of the US. There would be no need to retool infrastructure or build a new fuel distribution system. Why aren't we all driving diesels or small displacement turbo petrol cars? It seems to work everywhere else.
They're trying to make up for lost karma in the seemingly unending employee-player scandals. I'd probably give it another go, it's not really that bad for an online spreadshzzzzZZZZZZ
24 gauge, brilliant! I use lamp cable thicker than this that I stripped for free. Ah, audiophiles, can't beat 'em(legally), kind of too late in the game to exploit 'em.
And if Microsoft, with 90+ percent of the market, said, "No, if you want to get your movies into our market, you'll get rid of this annoying, overhead causing crap that our consumers hate."
This is actually for noobs. Noobs who want cheap gaming from their Dell instead of a GMA. I imagine the next step that will actually make a difference to AMD's marketshare will be the laptop version, since intel pitsgraphics are still very common in portables. This is all good for AMD; OEMs are where big money is, not us geeks buying parts on newegg.
They've probably already failed, I see giant friend code sharing threads on forums, *chans, foo, every time a new game comes out. Why each game has a seperate code, I wish I knew D:
I've always said that I'd love a new low-spec'd (p233 or better) laptop with crazy battlife. We finally get one, the eee (P-M) and the thing gets two hours. What. D:
Ray really needs to go back to making synthesizers.
The best part is that I'm sure he has absolutely no recourse because they're free to expel any student at any time per the handbook.
Not every DJ is using CDJs/serato/foo yet.
Market still exists, demand is being filled.

40 minutes and not one anti-smoker troll? Amazing!
You guys are getting slow!
Dot matrix printer?
