Definitely. After seeing the Attack of The Clones trailer in Grainyvision, then seeing the same trailer on TV, I realized that the whole grainy, washed out, 70's looking edition had a hell of a lot more atmosphere than its digital cousin. I don't know . . . I may just bring some friends over, burn it to a VCD, and see it that way. In my basement, because that's how God intended it.

Of course, even if it's the suckiest suck to ever suck a suck, I'm gonna go see it at the theatre. I saw Phantom Menace thrice, fer chrissakes.

They've committed to making the modem and NIC add-ons, but that means that we'll see it, at minimum, in six months or more. It's also likely that we may never see it, which would match Nintendo's track record perfectly.

I'm as wildly indifferent as the next guy, but the availability of a modem for two systems that have yet to have any online games come out (and wil probably, possibly, start their online lineup with the very same game) seems a fairly unimportant thing to fixate upon.

Mind you, Sony comes out with peripherals well in advance, but the also have come out with their hard drive a long while before anyone even plans to support it (FFXI will have all games saved server-side, I believe, for less cheatin').

Consider, though, that many hard drives have sold. Noone knows why.

I think I'm gonna just go back to playing my Dreamcast with its BUILT IN modem. Oooh! Oooh! That's right, the legend will never die!

How would hitting a child with your car not be your fault? Seriously, mostly people (in the U.S. at least) are not being victimized by being held responsible in some cases for the safety of minors. Again, as mentioned earlier, the parents would have to consent by use of credit card (or not notice the constant charge on their bills) and probably provide said credit card number for auction. It's not quite black and white.

Then again, who reads the license agreement anyway?

Is he actually talking about "Social Capital" here or capital itself? In this case, the author seems to be equating both as similar, if not the same thing. Interestingly, though, the very situations which the author cites (periods of mass immigration) seem to be those when "Social Capital" is quite high, whereas said quality-of-life issues stay the same.
