    I don't think it works that way. I use one to go to the Hawking, and in one case left the other for local use in that building. There was no way the local building could be using the Hawking Antenna as it was outside and pointed away. It's working in several places. I could be wrong and it's just dumb luck though!! Can you point to a source for one is transmit and one is receive? That would be interesting...

    I can vouch for Hawking products, that's what I hook people up with in this situation. I usually just use one antenna port on a Linksys router and point it at the building where I want Internet, then use a bridge in said building.

    Real call this morning, I am not kidding:

    I get a call from one of my customers with a spooler problem. So I say:
    "Did you reboot?"
    "Yes, several times."
    "Well, that's odd because usually with a spooler problem if you reboot
    it clears the spooler and your printers come back."
    "Oh, well then, I'll try it again and call you back."

    So, she started off by friggin' lying. Nice.

    On my Windows machines I use VirtuaWin. It was a little tricky to get it the that I want (like Ubuntu) but works great.

    I have the same laptop and everything (except for the modem..) worked on the first install of Edgy, and and upgrade to feisty. The wireless just worked, then used EasyUbuntu http://easyubuntu.freecontrib.org/to get the better ATI drivers among other things. I was able to get WPA working great with Wicd http://wicd.sourceforge.net/. I don't do anything fancy though.

    Just installed Quickbooks Pro for a client who runs a FreeBSD file server with Samba, and the new version will only allow you to have the data file on a Windows machine if it is accessed over a LAN.
    Isn't that nice.
