I attempted to set up an account on slash.geekizoid.com, but I never got the e-mail informing me of my password. I even tried having it sent several times, but it never came to me. I was rather disappointed.
This is indeed momentous. Congratulations on your First Post Mr. Monkey. It has been a long time since I've seen an FP by CM, and a followup by TM5k. You two had the most influence on me during my early crapflooding career. And while part of me is moving on to bigger, more interesting things, a piece of me will always remain a nasty crap-flooder (As demonstrated by my crapflooding accounts).

Dave Thomas, Innovator, Businessman, and Fast Food Icon, was found dead in his house Tuesday morning. He was 69 years old.
Dave Thomas was best known as the founder of the Wendy's fast food chain, which has gone on to become the #3 fast food chain in the nation. He was the last of a breed of CEOs that was not afraid to step in front of the camera. Like Lee Iacocca and Victor Kiam before him, Dave used his face and his friendly demeanor to sell his burgers. In 1989, things were not going well for Wendy's, and a change was needed. Dave stepped up to the plate and put his very image on the line for his restaraunts. The public responded quickly, and they repsonded favoribly.
Dave will no longer be waiting for us behind the counter. Dave Thomas, dead of liver cancer at age 69.
I think he was implying that he got the first Dead Penis Bird post in this article. And it happened to be first post as well. Nobody can take away the honor that Dead Penis Bird has as the first Dead Penis Bird on Slashdot.

I just read that the founder of the #3 national fast food chain Wendy's, Dave Thomas, was found dead at his house today. No cause of death was stated, but he has been on kidney dialysis since 2001 and had quadruple bypass surgery in 1996. He will surely be missed.
