    I see just the opposite. Win7 doesn't bother me about anything, but Leopard is constantly harping to update Java and iTunes and other crap. It wants to reboot often as well.

    Yes, but he absolutely *hates* Eric Schmidt. He hates how much the iPhone is beholden to Google. Notice how Google has basically been prevented from making iPhone apps now. Why would Apple kill Google Latitude, yet allow Loopt (even use Loopt in their advertising)? Of course we now know that Apple killed Google Voice, not AT&T.

    Google Goggles, Google Navigation, even Google Sky Map... all droid-only, and I doubt it's because of Google. The only thing coming out of Google for the iPhone are web apps that Steve Jobs has no control over.

    It's called compression, and I'd rather keep my dynamic range and change the commercials, than destroy my dynamic range using compression to even out the audio.

    They're using C, and unless I'm more mistaken than usual, they're doing all these copies with strcpy() which copies as many bytes as you give it instead of strncpy() which copies up to n bytes, where n is one of the function's parameters

    I doubt it. At least if they're using VS. I swear it's the most anal compiler ever when it comes to buffer overflows. Even memcpy is marked as "unsafe" and yells at you to use memcpy_s.

    Except that you are sent a key, which only fit one way to form the photo you want.

    Basically, the puzzle isn't the pieces, those are universal. The puzzle is the pattern that you get sent.

    Sure we can. If they foist extra fees that are not included in the contract I signed, then the contract is void and I can leave immediately.

    Not exactly. My laptop is older and while it can run Hulu, it doesn't do it well. It severely taxes the CPU, taking roughly 70%.. and windows will occassionally use the other 30% just running and Hulu video starts staggering.

    Of course the better solution to this is to have flash use hardware acceleration. Netflix with Silverlight doesn't take nearly the CPU that Hulu does.

    ChromeShell isn't Google. ChromeOS boots to a login screen in less than 10 seconds off a USB key for me. But it doesn't support my wifi. It does support the wifi on my wife's gateway netbook though.. but doesn't support her verizon card.

    A very large segment of home users play casual flash games already.. and one of the video demos of Chrome OS shows a user taking photos off their camera.

    I'm sure most businesses provide their own cloud. Companies live off the cloud already. Exchange, for example.

    The funny thing is that rendering Pixar movies is *definitely* done in the cloud. Renderfarms are far more efficient than rendering locally.

    Compare Applesoft basic with Integer basic. The former is written by Microsoft, the latter by Woz.

    It's difficult to admit that MS wrote better software than Woz, but there you go.

    What other reason is there? There is no homebrew scene for the 360 because the mods only let you play burned copies of *signed* software. They don't allow you to run *unsigned* software.
