That system can too easily be DDOSed. Just start flooding youtube with controversial (maybe terroristic) videos, and all of a sudden, there aren't enough employees at google to keep up with the mess.
Since it is the cell phone carriers that are blocking the app (probably by blocking the port(s) that the app communicates on), of course this is still available through wifi because the carriers don't control the wifi access points of everyone in Brazil.
I got very sick after eating at Chipotle nearly 10 years ago. The occurrences of illness have only increased since then. It could have been due to poor worker sanitation, or maybe E. Coli, but either way, I haven't eaten there since, and I don't plan to eat there again ever.
Steve Ells has apologized for the illness. So what. Steve, you can stuff your sorrys in a sack!
It's a short hop from outlawing ticked-buying bots to also outlawing automated stock-trading software. This might be just the thing that the ordinary man needs to take back control of the economy.
The Microsoft Surface is the official tablet of the NFL. You can see it used by officials and coaches in every televised game.... Yet the announcers don't know any better and call them "iPads".
The hoverboard charger isn't the only thing from China that's a fire risk. The cheap knockoffs of the iPhone charger have the same risk. If you're lucky, they will just stop working after about a week.
An angle grinder makes a lot more noise, is harder to keep in a pocket, and prevents you from locking it back up again to hide your tracks.
Then just put your own padlock on it with gum jammed in the keyhole. The owner will need to cut your lock off because his key won't work, but he won't be suspicious because he would have blamed the gum.
You're right, I *DON'T* believe that actually works. That custom Bic screwdriver of yours will break its tip the first time you try to turn it. It may be fine for screws that have already been loosened, but you need to apply enough torque to break the screws free, and that would just strip your pen.
You buy a phone, and like it. You use it. A lot. Over the course of using it, the usb charging port starts to become intermittent. It's a part whose value is $.50 or less, but if it can't be repaired, you have to throw the whole phone away. What a waste of money!
Another one:
The battery in your phone is no longer holding a useful amount of energy to power the phone all day. You could replace the battery and bring the whole phone back to "like-new" condition, but the manufacturer has glued the case together. This is the malicious intent: The manufacturer *KNEW* that the battery would not last forever, and still welded the case shut. You would not stand for this if it were your car.

...or the lowercase m stands for microns instead of meters.
I sure hope you mean figuratively. Otherwise, clean-up on aisle 7....

One of the ingredients in Taco Bell's ground beef is "silicon dioxide".
Sand... Yummy.
If the submitter takes your advice, there will soon be a follow up question "How do I soundproof my prison cell?"
I don't see how they could implement it reliably anyway.
I think it would have been funnier if the cop had called the support line to get his account unlocked. That's one conversation I would like to hear.
Why?
Yeah. I thought the only reason it was "made famous" was because Sheldon played it on The Big Bang Theory....
How would the government enforce this? "Uh, oh yeah, I installed your certificate, wink wink."

We can now add a fourth word:
Embrace, Extend, Extinguish, Escape.
Damn, programmers are just way too clever for their own good.
I always read it as "post gree see quell", which is the problem. Everyone knows what post is or means, but what the fuck is a gree?

Zencart? How is a typical shopper supposed to know if the online retailer that they are using is using the Zencart system?

You will change your mind when you start to age and your eyesight dims.
Windows XP didn't exist in the mid 90's.
