  2. I have seen that commercial. I find it amazing that Granny takes the device out of the box, and it's already charged, and requires absolutely *NO* configuration to connect to her wireless network, and calls home successfully the first time!

    Also, "smarter people don't have better passwords" isn't what was measured. "Filipino College students with higher grades don't have better passwords" is really what was measured.

    From the poster's username, it sounds like he's in Australia. It's likely that this phone will not work on all US carriers. (Verizon doesn't care much about SIMs).

    I would like a phone with those features, but maybe omit NFC, and add an IR blaster.

    Nobody said it was safer. But they can be charged with electricity from the sun. You have to wait a long time before the sun grows plants, and they turn into oil that you can refine into gasoline.

    RC quadcopters are just like the RC model planes your great-grandfather flew eighty years ago...

    So, you're saying that in 1938, people were flying radio-controlled model aircraft? I doubt it. There were no transistors until much later, so I don't think that the aircraft would be powerful enough to lift the HUGE BATTERIES, TRANSFORMERS, and VACUUM TUBES unless it was a FULL-SIZE aircraft.

    These were deployed at the Mall of America during the superbowl weekend. There were lots of kids interacting with them. They are pretty short, so they're not over-imposing. To me, though, they seemed pretty useless.

    There are plenty of videos on youtube about psychics, ghosts, and ufo's, making claims not backed up by ANY kind of science. Youtube didn't remove those.
